I have both systems and I’ll be getting Rage on PS3 because it’s one disc. I don’t give a fuck about framerate, and honestly, why should anyone give a fuck about all this framerate bullshit. Whenever I play a game I can’t tell when a game is running at 30fps or 60fps. I wouldn’t know Killzone 2 and Halo 3 are 30fps or Call of Duty 4 is 60fps if the developers didn’t say so.
I remember many Warzones ago Torrence talking up the Street Fighter Madcatz controller and saying how good it is, so I believed him and I bought the piece of shit. Big mistake. It’s fucking terrible. The piece of shit only worked for a week until it just stopped working for no reason. Then I just bought an arcade stick(not from madcatz) and never looked back.
If you played a game in 30 fps and then 60 fps youd know trust and believe……
To say you’d buy a gimped copy of a game that ran at half the frame rate is just moronic…. no one in there right mind would choose a 30fps game when they can have the same for 60fps… and framerate isnt bullshit it has been around on pcs since people have visuals to have a framate with. On pcs you want the typical game to run at FPS, especially if the game is fast paced like Fear 1, Quake, Unreal Tournament etc etc…. basically every game on pc the ideal is 60fps. Its a thing of wonder when you get to see a nice game locked in at 60fps on the consoles…. the sense of speed seems better and you never see any lag from the game….(only peoples internets)… the game runs smooth as butter…. just like the first time playing cod 4 on the consoles online and have a huge fight and not a stutter or a drop no matter how many explosions etc.
So dont act like framerate is bullshit when you obviously dont understand it because it has always been important in 3d graphics and always will be…………
* Also like to mention that he said right now its not even a solid 30…. its 20-30 it jumps between…. so thats not good… that makes a fps basically unplayable.. or at least a headache to do so……

Don’t assume I don’t understand framerate just because I don’t give a shit about it. I’m not a PC gamer. I’m pretty much consoles only. But I’ve played Counter Strike at roughly 30fps and well over 60fps. I didn’t notice a difference. Maybe that’s because I’m used to consoles, but I think people take all this framerate shit too seriously. I’ll be very happy playing Rage on my PS3 with it’s “gimped” framerate.

Right now the games run at different frame rates why is this even news? Normally it’s the other Hollywood assholes getting (actors, singers and so forth) the loopholes that us normal citizens do not receive. Now the DA is trying to actual have him do JAIL TIME… It was a federal crime what Vick was apart of and his Jail time is debatable. But lets look at these situations:
Duke lacrosse 2006 rape case. At first the Duke boys were getting CREAMED! Then when the dust settled look what happened… Bitch was lying.
Ben Roethlisberger 2009 rape allegations: No one fucking cares… ESPN actually black-listed the topic from being aired. Funny though only days earlier they was showing Pacman on the night of the shooting in the strip club tossing money.
Imply racial issues on both cases if you want but just note that the intensity being driven on Duke boys and Vick. Because the stripper was black and the boys where white the boys where wrongfully pre-judged and thank god they were proven innocent. I’m a huge animal lover, but even I think what happened to Michael Vick is over the top. He participated in an extremely heinous activity, but at the end of the day, I’ve seen people get convicted of much worse and not pay the price he is currently paying. Our justice system has a lot of strengths, but we leave the enforcement of laws to the discretion of the local district attorney/U.S. Attorney on the case. These people are prone to human weakness just as much as anyone else. In Vick’s case, he was low-hanging fruit…who doesn’t want to see an animal abuser punished for a long time? It’s an easy win for a prosecutor and its a great political move. But white collar criminals, who often destroy thousands of people’s lives, get off with a slap on the wrist or no time at all. Those cases are hard to prosecute because it is difficult for a jury to follow all of the financial shenanigans. Why bother investing time and resources in those cases when you can get an easy conviction that anyone can understand?

For some reason a lot of the web traffic about 30fps PS3 Rage was pointed at computerandvideogames.com (EDGE’s sister mag) part of the Future Publishing monolith. I tend to avoid Future Publishing after protesting against CVG (8.7/10) + EDGE’s (7/10) review scores of KillZone 2. My main issue with those scores was CVG rated Halo 3 as 9.7/10, which is an absolutely crazy comparison. These 2 mags are great – if you’re a XBot.
EDGE / CVG omitted comments from Carmack, which stirred up fanboys all over the net and id have since commented on EDGE’s sloppy journalism. I love it.

The EA financial call is still ongoing and in it the company revealed that The Sims 3 has sold 3.7 million copies.
Sims 3 was the top selling title in North America and Europe for the quarter, it was revealed.
There’s loads of Sims fans out there, apparently.
