How much is MS making from the sales of software for the 360 games including royalties from multiplatform games?
How much is the development cost for exclusive games that Sony/MS make?
How much is MS making from Xbox Live?
How much is Sony making from Home?
Now you have the research to do a article titled “Sony Beats Microsoft Againâ€.
How come you didn’t point out the YOY increase for the 360?
What about the 360 being the only console to actually increase the YOY sales by 9% and the decline YOY sales of of PS3 -59%, PS2 -1%, and PSP -52%?
We already know why because as I stated in my comments it wouldn’t make for a good article on Sony’s part.
If your article had this type of information in it then we could see the point but that is the problem with your articles. Your articles are based on opinion and not the full facts You got Blacksmith who I understand is industry so shouldn’t be difficult to some of that information. That is why journalist do not try and do an article they don’t have facts about. This is why your article was looked as flawed. Even if you had the roles reversed and you came out with the article in the same way I would still call you out on it. I enjoy your site until articles like this that have show no details of facts in the article like trophies article and this article. I disagree with the point of the article because it doesn’t state facts and it is clearly a premise of what the Sony Defense Force has done
By the way that is why I pulled the Sony Defense Force article because that is the only site that would think of pulling a BS article like that. You claim you came up with the concept of your article when I already proved where you got the idea along with the picture from the “hater†site.

ODST is a full game which originally started as an expansion to Halo 3. Bungie has stated that REACH is the last Halo game they are doing. But we all know we have to wait and see because that could just mean for the 360 and not the next gen systems in the future. If people are tired of Halo the sales will show and last I have seen, each game of the FPS Halo’s has great reviews and sold better than the previous version. They are still the most played and most referenced FPS games in comparision to other games. Halo still offers the most diverse features that games like Killzone 2 doesn’t offer except better graphics.

The only way Home is going to be streamlined is when they decide they are going to use Home as their main GUI and not the XMB. I personally don’t care of Home and I like XMB but the difference with Live is obvious. Live have standards and Sony and Home do not and that is why it is view differently because you are not guranteed to get the same extra experience you get from Resistance 2 to Killzone 2.

Halo Waypoint won’t be anything like Home. Here are some details from MS about that.
Microsoft’s announcement of Halo Waypoint, the Halo “destination” coming to Xbox Live this Fall, was light on details, overshadowed by the reveal of the Halo Legends anime series. Fortunately, 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor was at Comic-Con to clear things up.
Waypoint will offer Halo enthusiasts access to audio and video content in addition to community features and the option to follow your “Halo career.” O’Connor explained that Waypoint will track the Halo games you play, the achievements you unlock and other aspects not directly tied to “Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo games ongoing.”
O’Connor says that Waypoint, accessed from the Xbox 360 dashboard, and likely from the My Xbox section, will be a “really good place for you to interact with other people.”
“There’s a lot more to Waypoint than just watching movies and listening to podcasts,” he said, saying that fans of the series are underserved on their Xboxes.
“Maybe you just want to see a really old Halo trailer from E3,” he explained, saying that fans shouldn’t need to leave their consoles to see that kind of content. “We’re going to aggregate everything that you would want to watch from the halo universe on that site. But it’s a lot more ambitious than that. It’s going to evolve in features and functionality to make it the prime destination for the Halo fan.”
As far as pricing, O’Connor says that Microsoft is still figuring out whether Xbox Live Silver members will need to pay to access the product.
“Certainly, if you’re a Gold member you’re going to get access to all of that experience,” he said. “We want everyone to have this same experience, but the question is, if there’s multiplayer features that are technically connected to Gold, it’s easier to deal with. There’s a lot of reasons that [tying it to] Gold makes sense.”
Halo Waypoint will also be the first place fans will have the chance to see episodes of Halo Legends, the series of shorts developed by Japanese animation studios. They’ll be available to viewers for a limited time, debuting on Xbox Live as “events,” not just dropped on the Xbox Live Video Marketplace.
“You’ll be able to see episodes in their entirety via Waypoint in a staggered schedule,” O’Connor explained. “Those events will be global—it will be in every Xbox territory—and we’ll make those things sort of ‘come participate’ events.”
Those events won’t necessarily be debuting as if they were broadcast on television—you won’t need to be at home at 8 PM to get your first peek at Halo Legends. That would be tough if you have a life—or you live in distant time zone.
“We’ll find a window to make it fit and adjust that accordingly around the world,” O’Connor said.
Still, make plans to be near your Xbox if you want to watch the anime series before it’s released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital distribution next year. Waypoint will let you see it a lot sooner.

We would know if a console is doing bad right away beacuse developers and publishers would just stop making games for a individual console which I really do not see happening in the near future. I had to stop the Warzone when HipHop said that Infamous had the best storyline this generation. I strongly disagree. Infamous is a fun game to play, but the story is mediocre. The 2 games to release this generation with the best storylines’ are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Mass Effect, bar none. Infamous’s story doesn’t hold a candle to those games.
inFamous storyline is not mediocre. It is a great storyline. I would not say it is the best story this generation but it is a great story that I did not see coming.

I thought I’d just add this little bit of info on HOME’s Namco Arcade.
You can not play any arcade games unless you do either one of these steps.
You have to download the trial version of the classic games for Namco Arcade, you can just buy the full versions of each game to be able to play the games with in the Arcade in Home. So no you can’t just fire up HOME and go to the Arcade and play games with out downloading the DEMOs or the FULL versions of the games.

Tor needs to get off this whole him against the world shit when it comes to games journalism. I don’t think Kotaku is out to get the smaller sites. The guys there arent looking to steal someone else’s thunder (they don’t need to). So they linked to the 2nd source and not Playstation Lifestyle… Big f**king deal.. It was a minor look over. It’s not like the writer was saying “Oh I work at Kotaku which is one of the 5 biggest gaming sties, so let me go rip someone else’s story and not give them credit.”
The same thing with the whole Co-Op and “Gamer Cribs” episode. It’s not like Torrence has that shit copyrighted, and if Torrence would have watched the episode or did some research then he would have seen it was just a one time thing and a spoof. You would understand if you ran your own website. Since you don’t, I don’t expect you to understand. I just like the world to know who we are and what we do. It’s not that serious with me. You think I’m all bent out of shape and angry over this. I’m not. I do it for integrity and for all the people that support our sites. We have to work 10x harder to get stories that they are given. So when they don’t properly source an article, I let them know about it.

First time listening to the warzone. It was not that bad. 3 1/2 hours is long. I had to skip through the crap to get to the good parts but otherwise good. I’ll keep listening. Your a like-able guy, very unbiased. A voice of reason. The reason why people hate on HipHop is because he comes across as being very biased.
