The future looks promising. I haven’t played doom in a while.

  • ErlFly_007 says:

wait does this mean DOOM is going to be multiplat?

    • Da_Dios says:

I believe Todd Hollenshead had already hinted at this earlier when he said something along the lines of:

Doom 4 will look better then it’s console counterparts because we’re customizing it for high-end PC systems…

I can’t find the quote for it but i swear i remember hearing that from him or John Carmack.

Great! We should see some of the industries best games developed/published and marketed correctly with this move. About time id, with the new resources both companies should benefit from this greatly.

    Carmack FTW!

For Bethesda to become #1 they better get that whole “multiplat” thing down first.

ive always had faith in bethesda as a company, so this just means even more greatness for us to enjoy.

Wow, that’s kind of shocking, but kind of not. It wasn’t expected at all, but these two developers seem like they are a perfect fit. It’s pretty much safe to say that more and more developers will start joining forces, which should be a good thing. EA better watch out the best 3rd party developer/publisher title is up for grabs. Even if Activision is considered #1 they aren’t #1 to me game wise that still goes to EA (EA Sports, Dead Space, Mirror’s Edge, Dante’s Inferno, Need for Speed seems to be back on track, Brutal Legend, Battlefield Bad Company, Burnout Paradise, and so much more).

    • Da_Dios says:

Activision gets me sick with the little bullshit their doing with EA and Brutal Legend. The game looks really fun and they were trying to block EA from publishing it. I find it silly that this has happened THREE times with activision. Once with Ghostbusters again with Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and now with Brutal Legends. I mean come on really either your publishing a game or your not. This idea that they weren’t finished shopping the rights around is mind boggling.
