X-Rumors 6/1/09 MGS Rising update
Right now everyone is trying to find out if the new MGS game on the 360 is exclusive. Well according to the VP of Microsoft, John Schappert, the game is not exclusive to the console. Here is the passage as follows.
“You know, we didn’t say that it was exclusive,” clarified Xbox executive and corporate VP John Schappert (he was the guy hosting most of the event) during an interview with me immediately following the press conference.
“We said that the next Metal Gear will be coming ( Xbox 360),” he said.

They just had it after they announced their ” Xbox 360 exclusive” segment.
Kojima said it will be very different from past MGS’s i’m wondering how? Also did anyone else catch the Lightning Bolt Action subtext next to the title! LOL Raiden shooting Lighting FTW…
Oh yeah where was the Big Boss character, does Kojima have a two-fer up his sleeve?

At 8:14 starts asequence withe all previous MGS games shown in small boxes thar scroll up. At 8:21 there are two boxes with “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” beneath the box with MGS 4. Kojima announced two MGS games when MGS 4 was released.

About that lightning thing: in MGS 4 in the Mission Briefing (Act 4) Raiden says: “It even rained the day I was born.” And Snake replies: “No! you were the Lightning in that rain!”

WTF?!? What are you talking about Kojima didn’t announce anything those were hints. Also we know about Metal Gear Rising and the Metal Gear game for the PSP Go. Im questioning whether there’s another Metal Gear in the works for consoles because of the Big boss picture.

So what’s that if not an announcement? When in a Kojima game you can read that two MGS games are under construction?

Announcement: public or formal message of something
That my friend was NOT an announcement. How many people out of the 4 + million who brought Metal Gear including myself was so involved with the conversations and the game payed no attention to that “subliminal” catch?

I know it sounds sappy, but I’m just glad more people will get to play it. Hopefully they don’t fuck it up. I’m a long time fan of the MGS series, and the more people who get to play the better. Coming into E3 I underestimated the Microsoft lineup, but I can see now that was a mistake, can’t wait to see what Sony has tomorrow.

That doesn’t sound sappy it’s the truth! More people will get to experience the Metal Gear Franchise. I’m interested to see how many copies will sell now MGS4 already topped 4+million add a couple on the 360 and we got some freaking excellent numbers!

PS3 EXCLUSIVE INBOUND
I just got done listening to the Kojima Productions Report. Its Kojma’s official podcast available on itunes. They said that there was more news inbound coming tmmrw and that quote, “E3 HAS NOT EVEN STARTED.”
Hopefully the announcement of MGS5 or MGS Big Boss will be made

None taken, it just pisses me off. Someone said that to me about another game i think it was Splinter Cell or Devil May Cry. When in fact i owned, played and beaten everyone of them with the exception being Splinter Cell: Essentials which i never played.

update the game ended up being psp exclusive. The name of the game is entitled Metal Gear Solid Peace walker.
