    Great show as always.

  • Lifendz says:

    Why do you guys only question whether PS3 exclusives can be done on 360?

  • davidletterman says:

    The part when everyone is laughing at the counter strike video is priceless.

    Good show. Very funny, maybe I shouldn’t have left. I’ll be there next week I’m hooked now I even got my wife interested.

    the difference between 1st and 3rd developers is that sony’s first party developers have a pre-production plan.

    not many developers especially 3rd party do that. they are more organised than 3rd party. And the whole “it would take more time” argument is flawed, just look at insomniac they release quality games every year. And how long did it take for Uncharted 2 to be released since uncharted 1, again one of the best game in this generation.
    it’s not about content it’s about having an imersive experience. the third party developers that claim to use both consoles “power (both have power)” do not use mnay of the SPU’s on the ps3. and about the final fantasy 13 argument it’s not the final game lets wait and see. OMG how can u compare WOW with MAG, lets compare Killzone 2 with halo 3 http://www.sonydefenseforce.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/kz2halo3.jpg

    PLEASE SOMEONE SHOW ME SOME THING COMING FROM MICROSOFT THAT PROVES WHAT SONY IS SAYING IS WRONG.(not shouting just trying to highlight) come on now lets not use some WOW vs MAG comparison to suit ur argument, if that’s the case then anything goes. E3 can’t come soon enough. and unless someone works for either company or has a stock in either company please stop talking about sales. it getting boring man can we go for about a week without talking about it, please

    • Da_Dios says:

      Kingpin you had a good argument until you provided that link, seriously you can’t use that site for a compelling argument. Comparing a game that came out in 07 to a game that came out in 09 is just pointless. We already known Killzone 2 was gonna look better. Your argument was good up until the link…

  • otherZinc says:

    @Torrence,
    I thought this was “The Warzone”, not going to talk about sales for months? BS. NPD #’s are it, just because a few people get pissed when their game or console doesn’t do well for the month, you guys are going to not talk about #’s. Whatever. I’ll still listen to the show but that’s some bs, every aspect of the industry is relevant.

    Marvelous show otherwise.

    Kingpin2k7,
    Lets compare Killzone 2 to Halo 3.
    Halo 3: Forge- co-op, 4 player co-op, online co-op up to 4 players level variety ( Sunlight, dark, jungle, buildings, sand, snow, water movement, footprints in the sand & snow, online options, tanks, warthog, jeep, aircraft’s, ALL with passengers, rip turret guns off for battle, scale-everything you see you go to).

    Killzone 2: Mech Warrior (that was fantastic) & all talk. Thats it. The graphics look better because the game does none of the things above, GG can use all the memory only on graphics because the game does nothing special.

    Look at the Train Stage on Killzone 2, play that, then play the train stage on Gears 1 & look at all the **** going on in Gears 1 compared to Killzone 2. Killzone 2 offers nothing, period.

    Even when presented with the opportunity to ride a make believe warthog in Killzone 2, they didn’t let us, WTF? If K2 was as feature rich as Halo 3, we would be able to ride that jeep. Aslo, riding in that tank on K2 was very generic.

    With all that said, I liked Killzone 2, very good game, but it did nothing special, if it did, tell me what it was.

    Please list some things Killzone 2 does that’s special, facts please.

    @ otherZinc

    the funny thing is i was just playing that that train level you were refering to in Gears 1, i’m facing the boss (the one that keep saying “serve the queen” every time it loads after you die), and to tell me to look at the amount of **** going on in gears 1 compare to killzone 2, i seriously don’t know what you’re trying to say there.

    but if you mean by the amount of enemies attacking you, marcus facing 2-4 flying squid at a time isn’t “a lot of **** going on” the ones you see in the background just there for show they don’t do anything but float in the air. the engine loads the ones that are attacking you from a diffferent location, let say behind the train, it’s a trick game developers like to use when faced with animating loads of characters, in killzone 2 every enemies on screen is a threat wether it’s the train level or the last level (OMG) and i’m not gonna get technical with the graphics cause the winner is obvious. gears is still great though don’t get me wrong

    that’s that out of the way now onto halo 3. yeah yeah it’s got all these great modes you know, the ones you mention, and all killzone 2 has got is pff… Warzone, but hey you can’t please every one.

    onto co-op, shit i play it everytime i’m online, i play co-operatively with human players against other human players, whether im in a clan or a squad.

    that’s that out of the way, now onto the evironment, if i was making a game set in a desolate planet that looks like mars would it make sense to have a jungle, lava, snow just for the sake of having those element. somethings would just feel out of place from a design stand point.

    man it would be nice to fight the grim looking helgan in sunny, clear blue sky,green grass filled landscape, with a a bit of snow on top a mountain with a few butterflies in ;) .

    call of duty 4 didn’t need vehicles in multiplayer to be great why should killzone 2, it would be cool though.

  • otherZinc says:

    @Kingpin2k7,
    HaHa, great. However, keep playing that train level in Gears, there’s more to come.

    The point I was making is Halo 3 & Gears packed a BUNCH of extras in the entire game & I have more to tell. Leaving it at that, there would be more memory for graphics without all the extras.

  • kingpin2k7 says:

    @ otherZinc

    fair enough, but tell me this… how do you beat the the locust in black, Dom keeps dying on me(no surprises there), seriously that monster shows no sign of weakness

  • otherZinc says:

    @kingpin2k7,
    I think you’re fighting Ramm. You must use the Tork Bow to knock the bats down. Then I use the sniper rifle; repeat. Also, you can throw grenades, also, you can run to that turret gun (“you’ll never make it”). Use the first option.

    If that doesn’t work, go co-op and still use the Bow & Rifle. My son had to help me beat Ramm on Insane Mode, its very hard.

  • bitbagger says:

    Not to flame, but…
    On the issue of day-n-day multiplat (ps3 better)impossibility: It won’t necessarily take longer to make it better. for instance: instead of 20 50ft tall monsters, 10 tanks and 5 soldiers in one battle: you could have 30 80ft tall monsters, 15 tanks and 12 soldiers. This example proves that there can be a bigger game without longer dev time.

    Also, if the 360 and the PS3 SHOULD have equal quality multiplats, then I guess when it’s a multiplat that is on the psp,360, ps2, ds… then they should all be the same too.

    P.S. Happy Birthday Everyone

    Torrence your first console experience are like mine.

    My 1st console was the 2600. I had 4 of them. One at my house, my grandparents, my godmother, and my aunt. Basically the same games at each house. And I remember I couldnt play at home because my mom would play this game called Seaquest all day long. Then when I got my Sega Master System she would play Monopoly. Now she is a faithfully subscriber to Pogo.com.
