Hey brain basher. It seems that you got an old ass computer. You need to find out what kind of processor you have and I would love to help you get your pc work like a beast. All you have to do is open up the start menu and right click on the my computer icon. Click properties and tell me what it says. From there I will find out what kind of cpu you have and how many gigs of memory you use.
Also, you need to download nTune from the nvidia website. With that you can find out what type of memory you have, and you can check the status of your hardware after you hook everything up so you dont over load your computer. You can use the application to do a stress test and everything just to make sure that your computer can handle the new hardware.

He still hasn’t proved to me how his over priced i7 processor destroys AMD, and I doubt he could. Talk to me if you wanna have the best system for the money man. The MW2 teaser sucked balls i really could have done without it as it didn’t make me want the game any more then i did before seeing it.
We all new Microsoft wasn’t going to have a real major GDC announcement. Sadly but true Stephen Totilo had already hinted towards this when everyone was bashing him for his “360 09′ line-up may not be great” statement. We were all at least hoping for some at least an alan wake showing but instead all we got was some demonstrations on conversations and combat from Mass Effect 2 which really didn’t show anything new but a new reticule…
Last year Microsoft had a better GDC to say the least now will they have a better E3 we’ll have to see. It’s gonna be hard to top announcing FF13 for the 360, even announcing kingdom hearts for the 360 wouldn’t top it. It would be great but not as earth shattering as last years announcement.
Also regarding the internet speculation that 360 could be trying to secure some exclusive DLC for FF13. Well Square-Enix already announced that there is no announced DLC for FF13. It’s not to say that there won’t ever be any but for now we can put the 360 exclusive DLC rumor to rest.

Apparently the new P6 Asus boards kick some major ASS! They clearly outperform the MSI board with the Phenom II x4 overclocked to 3.2ghz….
The MAJOR factor is price a lot of people aren’t going to pay $1000 even though it doubles the performance in this particular bench test. Even though i’m still leaning toward it. For a $800 dollar price difference the Phenom is an awesome pick up and offers great performance, still knowing that my system can perform certain tasks about x2 as fast that $800 dollars is still alot…
You know what it also depends on what motherboard your interested in, i’ve been on ASUS and MSI for my last two rigs but ASUS has been really kicking ass these last couple of years so that may ultimately force the i7 card…

BTW, I see that the i7 benchmarks high, but at the same time its not that its light years ahead of even the core duo. You just pretty much proved my point that the i7 just doesn’t make sense to buy unless your an elitist. Your not an elitist so I dont know what made you give in to the hype.
Dude you keep talking about it being overpriced! I only paid $279 for it. It’s LIGHTYEARS ahead of the PHenom. Look at the benchmarks I posted. The 920 is in there. Why wouldn’t it make sense to buy an extremely faster processor?

Yeah Dragon compared with the benchmarking at [H] it shows that the i7 out performs the Phenom even the 920 out does the phenom best CPU…. Currently at $279 costing just $60 dollars more then the phenom II X4 940 at newegg total that with that kickass Asus motherboard and you can’t go wrong.
I dont know if you guys noticed, but those intels are using DDR3 1333. That doesn’t prove that they are faster cpu’s. That just proves that its all about what type of memory the mother boards support. The Denab 920 uses motherboards that support AM3 processors and DDR3 1600 memory. I guarantee that it would be up there with the best intels if they did benchmarking with that.
BTW,, All them sources you put up dont mean anything without using the best AMD processor for comparison. Thats like saying the 360 has the best graphics of all time and comparing it to the ps2 and leaving the ps3 out. Show me a table that has Amd’s best processor against the i7 and then you can try to make your point. The AMD 9950 is not the best Amd processor. The i7 doesn’t completely destroy the Denab 920 until there is a side by side comparison against the competition. Graphs with missing elements doesn’t count as evidence.
Im not broke, but I will say that I do things that make sense. I would have just bought a decent quad core under 150 bucks and took the rest of that money and bought other things like more memory, better motherboard ect etc… Im not saying that you shouldn’t buy what makes you happy Tor. But you are the one that always talks about saving money here and there and everywhere and preach about spending money on things that you shouldn’t have to. The main argument was that I had was that intels over price their products. You aren’t part of the solution when you give in to the man.
BTW Tor, you just gave me another link and said there was a direct comparison between the i7 and the amd 920. I just did a refined search and there is not a Amd 920 anywhere on that page. Dude, get good.
@Dragonwarrior – DUDE, WTF?! The i7 comes in 3 flavors, the 920, 940 and Extreme 960. I never said AMD was the 920. What are you reading? The i7 920 cost me $279. I hardly call that spending a lot of money. Plus I got the best motherboard that ASUS makes, the P6T V2.
I have used AMD chips since the 486. Hell even before that. This will be my first Intel. I guess spending $279 on a processor makes me Elitist. LOL Oh and 1333 overclocked gives you 1600. I don’t overclock anything. People have also said that the 920 is so fast that there isn’t ANY reason to overclock it.

@Dragonwarrior 4 – No one got upset, you just weren’t listening to what I was saying. I didn’t even know about the Denab until yesterday and it happens to be called the 920. The i7 is still better, still faster. I LOVE AMD, don’t get me wrong, but now is the time for change. The i7 rocks hard and it will be awhile before AMD catches up.
I so hope your wrong Tor AMD balances the market. Yeah my last three rigs were all AMD based machines it’s just right now intel has the upper hand.
If AMD wants to stay competitive with pricing, they will lose ground to Intel. They don’t care either because their procs rock and cost a lot less. I’m just utterly amazed at the 920 bang for buck. I’m getting ready to build and film now as I didn’t do it this weekend.

You could be more wrong, that SONY had no competition with the PS2, XBOX had the birth of Halo in that generation. Halo is the sole reason SONY is getting its @ss kicked by the 360, followed by the LOST Exclusivity of GTA, with GTA DLC Exclusivity, representing a major blow to the PS3. Why do you think it was important for Peter Moore to have a GTA Tattoo on his arm, he knew there would be few reasons to purchase a PS3. Now, with FF coming to the 360 (another exclusive down the drain), that’s it for the PS3, everything else doesn’t matter.
As for (SHIPPED #’s): you cant find that POS Wii in stores, whatever they say is shipped, its been sold! Just now, I’ve begun to see the POS Wii on store shelves, I hope people realize its a POS & they dont need it.
I do believe SONY’s #’s are shipped, the game sales dont add up at all: MGS4 NPD #’s reached 1million units sold January 09, it released in June 08. NPD doesn’t count pack-ins. The greatest game ever made Killzone 2- 322k in 2 days; terrible!
M$ is killing with game sales, Fable 2, Gears & 2, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, COD4 & 5, Ghost Recon:AW2 sold 800+k in the spring, Halo Wars, all sold 1mil first month except GRAW2; thats a diverse group appealing to everyone. So, M$’s #’s could be accurate with the POS Wii.
