personally I love the idea of N4G “its a DIGG CLONE” but the concept is excellent ,but the problem is theres no authority .I messaged an admin and received a response over a week later.There needs to be more admins and the site needs to be cleaned up.Now if they want to start by editing HHgs headline then thats fine but it has to be done to all BS headlines that are just trying to get traffic but contains no meat to the story. This is N4G not a supermarket rag mag and shit needs to be enforced. They implemented the public section and the other 1 to curb flamewars but no 1 is enforcing this

Some of us love talking sales #’s, I have a double major in business, I absolutely love #’s & games. If your favorite game doesn’t have the numbers, you may never see your favorite game or games again.
I want another Brute Force game. if the numbers were great, we may have had 3 iterations of Brute Force by now.
I know you think its stupid buy I dont & others dont as you said, N4G NPD thread had over 450 posts yesterday.
Numbers are important to businesses, investors, & us, our favorite game depends a lot on them.

I agree with zinc on some points. I dont care for numbers for consoles but I do care about software sales. and this gen games are not considered good sellers unless they sell 500,000 day 1 and hit a few million. Its said but its a fact. because the devs rely on these numbers to determine if they will create another a sequel . Its sad because games like too human didnt sell “that well” but imho was a fucking awesome game and got beat up by fanboys and people not understanding the gameplay. I still play too human even tho i beat it now about 13 times because coop is so much fun.
I just dont like when people judge a game based solely off their sales numbers.

I just DUG your DD and hope the best for you and your site. I know I haven’t been on the live show in a while but as you know I have been putting a lot together on my end. This whole website thing is harder than most would think. It takes a lot of time and knowledge to be successful. I will continue to support your site in any little way. I played with ICON the other night and my real life friends. We went undefeated. We must have played 6 or 7 games and could not lose to anyone. it was great. This was COD4 btw!

Everytime there’s a chance to lay your two cents on the table about Killzone 2… there you are. Dude great for you that you like to talk sales, that’s awesome. But some of us don’t care and quite frankly when the game you own sells 300+K in two days you have nothing to worry about. As well as when the system of choice you own(s) sells over 200+K there’s no need to worry.
When a game sells well why do you care that it didn’t sell more then another game? It was reported that in EU that Killzone 2 had that million pre-order mark so what would NPD numbers do to prove your concern? Bringing in the 450 degrees from N4G doesn’t help your argument because most of the thread is filled with stupid comments and pointless debate points.
Only when your game doesn’t sell enough to warrant a sequel do you need to worry other then that sales are a pretty boring and fruitless topic to discuss as nothing is really gained from the discussion other then game x sold this much and game y sold this much…

Everyone has different likes & dislikes about a certain hobby, my like is sales. I understand how they relate to products we like & dont like, & if we’ll ever see them made again.
300k for Killzone 2 is terrible, didnt they spend over 50 – 60 million on K2’s development? 200k doesn’t guarantee anything; Brute Force sold 275k first 2 days & people hated on it all day, M$ spent a bunch of money on the hype. Brute Force didnt do enough, I lost a great game.
I referenced Torrence about the 450 posts on N4G’s NPD thread, that’s a massive number, I dont care that most of the posters are stupid. I judge a game for myself, as I’m a video game expert from 1976 with Pong being my first system.
Killzone 2 is the most interesting thing going at this point, that & Halo Wars.
Since FPS’s is my favorite study, the next best shooter wherever it is, I’ll be there (except on that POS Wii). Expect me to be at every turn of K2. See you soon.

You have no credible source to confirm you $50-60 million development cost statement. Last that was reported was that killzone 2 was originally around $20 million and that it was RUMORED to have doubled. Again no official statement on to how much it actually cost to develop and again. Since you hold the almighty blue book on sales in regards to Videogames, when has selling 320+ K in the US been considered terrible? The NPD shows 2 days of sales for Killzone 2 nothing about EU/UK nothing about worldwide. Again it was already stated that the game sold over 1million doesn’t that constitute good sales? There will be another Killzone so again why does this matter? Does it selling less then say a Gears or Halo make it any worse a game? Dude it doesn’t matter talk sales to your buddies no one really cares either play the game or go sell/trade it in so someone who does want it can play/try it.

It is a rumor of 50 or $60 million to make Killzone 2, nothing concrete. Reading multiple sites, that’s the number.
European numbers were pre-orders, actual sales were around 350k, source VG Chartz. Also, K2 was a pack-in in Europe, NPD tracks US sales & dont include console pack-ins.
I hope there is another Killzone 2, I hope it comes with co-op if it does make it. It does make it worse when it cant come close to Halo or Gears numbers, that was SONY’s gaol, they need a killer app to challenge the competition, like it or not. Money is the bottom line, period.

Again your argument is flawed how does sales MAKE a game worse? So with your argument Mario Kart Wii is better then any other racing game released in 08 including Burnout Paradise. With your argument Wii Fit was better the GTA 4 because it outsold it in 08′. With your argument Smash Brothers Brawl is the best fighting game in 08′ better the Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat Vs DC. Your using sales as a barometer on how GOOD a game is? This will be my last reply to any comment you make on or about sales.
