When Bioshock press release came out was PS3 stated
When Devil May Cry 4 press release came out was 360 stated
There are others but just because a game was announced on the press release doesn’t mean it’s exclusive. It very well may be a timed exclusive or just exclusive but EA still is issuing a “No comment” on the PS3 news.
I came to know about this site and HHG from N4G and your right the site is the new 4chan /b for fanboys. There are some knowledgeable dudes there but the brain-dead jerks outnumber them.

N4G fucking rumbles. That site disgusts me. For the record, KRS-One jams. The Warzone intro was pretty kick ass. I liked it. That red 360 does look slick. You’ll have a blast with Resident Evil 5. Its awesome.
If you look me up on N4G and look at my last post it was about what they did to HHG, and how a title with even more ridiculous bull that wasn’t even stated as a rumor stayed on the site, and I said I wasn’t coming back until Sunday (Lord Willing), and the only reason I was going back was to make sure HHG’s show passed if I was back from church by the time the article was out.
They already failed an article from his site after it got the signatures. HHG should go to digg, and you guys should both hook up with rawgameplay.com and put N4G outta business.
I have half a mind to post this on N4G just because this daily has hit it on the nail… but I’d be breaking my word. Perhaps I’ll post it on Sunday if someone doesn’t beat me to it.

Hey Torrence, I love what your doing with this site, but i dont think you should stop continuing to post your articles on n4g. This is a real down to earth site bro, and i would really like for this site to blow up one day and become bigger then ign, gamespot, etc. I know n4g is bullshitting you and HipHop and i know posting your articles on n4g has its ups and downs but i really want to see this site do big things. One last thing, I think the site could use a little update. Like maybe adding the catogories to the top off the page and organizing things a little bit better. Keep up the good work.

I agree with u tor on alot of the n4g shit but I dont see a problem with n4g editing titles if they r misleading or if they r blatant bullshit.Also HHG’s posts get alot of traffic but the traffic is mostly of people complaining like you said of his headlines. he said in the headline MS buys valve.With the traffic HHG has been getting you cant just put that shit up.its like insider trading “not really” but You cant post titles like that and he does that shit all the time.I love his shows so I have no hate for the man but when more people are complain about your flamebait headlines than what you actually write then theres a problem there.
I think alot of the hate also has to do with his “delivery” By this I mean when he says the news about anything He says it in a way that portrays fanboy flamebait.Sometimes it sounds like he wants to get a rise out of both sides,now this is great for getting traffic but it doesnt fit well overall.Theres nothing wrong with him doing his show his way but you have to take the criticism
The problem with the flaimbait titles from HHG is that they don’t have any meat behind the titles. It would make sense if you actually had somthing to say but I find it ironic that the we here you complaining about N4G in defense for HHG yet, he uses articles from the site itself for his shows. I have said before if all you are going to do is “trick” people into thinking you have some information and then it turns out you didn’t offer anything different then what somebody could have simply posted in a forum then what the hell is the end goal? Why bother with a flaimbait title if you are not going to have any info afterwards? It is pointless. The overall problem is what he claimed himself he lives off the fanboys and if you are living off the fanboys then how are you really supposed to blow up? How is someone going to recognize you and you want to make your site bigger than what it is becuase if you can’t produce much other than abusing the flaimbait articles and titles, then you won’t be bothered to be asked to guest on The Attack of the Show or any other site wanting contribution from you to actually put your name out further who don’t even bother to go to your site or even bother to click on what you are saying on N4G. Yeah the haters on that site may do nothing but shoot the post up at N4G but if the majority of those post are negative and other people that don’t post at all see the majority of your post since a new gamer is made everyday, then that is one potential listener lost right there.
Torrence I have said it before (about Hiphop’s site) how is it considered “real talk” if most of your articles and headlines are more flaimbait than the articles that you actually do have info? It is outweighing the legit articles and that is what everyone is saying is what makes this site any different than a forum post. What is this site bringing that is going to stop me from going to somthing like Kotaku or other blog sites?
I don’t see a price drop coming now becuase they are still bleeding. Why would they possibly drop the price by 100 dollars just to keep up with the 360? It won’t cause the system to surpass the 360 in sales yet what is the benefit just to be competitive AND put yourself even deeper in the red since they made countless statements about their goal is to get profitable. Now they are talking about a 399 bundle with motorstorm and R-FOM which sounds like a complete joke in comparision to the recent release of Resident Evil and the upcoming Halo bundle(Halo Wars and Halo 3)

Yo Tor. Why in the hell would you even waste your time getting an Intel i7? You could have bought a AMD Phenom II X4 3.0 ghz quad core instead for amost half the price. The intels run hotter and only have 2 more mb of cache. This amd scores a 5.9 on vista. The highest you can get. Ive seen lower end processors do the same. Really what a waste. I

Dragonwarrior i haven’t checked Tomshardware on this but does the AMD Phenom II X4 beat out the 940. I know it runs at 2.93GHz and also the 950 is coming out this year and is supposed to go for 3.06GHz.. I love AMD personally but recently intel has been throwing out some beasts. I need to build me a new rig my damnself and im thinking of holding out for the 950 but i have to look at the benchmarks for the above CPUs first to see if it’s worth the wait.

I read somewhere that a feasible reason for a price cut around GDC for Sony would be because they would rather take a loss in the beginning of the financial year and make up for it later in the year then too do the cut later and reap less profit during the financial year. I still think the $50 cut would be better and would offer a controlled market for Sony. Think about it you cut the price $50 now and see an increase in sells and as that wave dies down maybe around July-September you offer another $50 in October. That way you control your sales push and keep pressure on the other consoles…

@ DA Dios. I dont know what you mean by beat out? I do know that the 940 Nehalem uses 135 watts compared to the AMD X4 phenom @ 95 watts. In Le mans term it means that it gets hot when running applications. Especially Video encoding like Tor likes to do. It only has 2 more megabytes of L3 cache. Sure its a little faster, but it really isn’t logical if your looking for something that last. The hotter cpu’s and video cards get, the shorter life they have. Dragon i meant how was did CPUs matchup against each other in general benchmark tests. I usual liquid cool my system and don’t worry too much about heat. My AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 worked wonders for me but my kid got a hold of it
. I’m just happy to get rid of Direct x10 it didn’t adopt well with me and seeing as Direct X 11 is going to be cleaner and easier i’ll look forward to it as well. Yeah Vista is a waste windows 7 is much better.

I would say HHG doesn’t care about his fans because he’s constantly giving shout-outs and during his shows he always asks or stats he would like to know what “we” think. Now that doesn’t automatically imply that he just cares but those are just signs that he does in my view.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE AMD but the i7 completely destroys it. I’ve done my research. I won’t settle for less than a 920. Yeah, I’m gonna pay a couple hundred dollars more, but that chipset fucking rocks. The Phenom rocks too. It’s great for games and priced right. I just don’t want it for what I’m going to do. I want to build a machine that’s going to last. I don’t even want to be looking for faster hardware in the next few years.
I won’t post on N4G. Anyone can post our shit if THEY want to. I can’t stop them. There are some great gamers on N4G. By now, they should know about us. If not or if new gamers come along, I’m sure they’ll catch wind. I just can’t give that site good stories anymore because they are raping us. I’d rather have more quality traffic so I’m gonna work hard on that.

Anyways I understand you’re mad because they changed HHG’s title but I completely understand why people don’t like him, almost every HHG show title is completely misleading his show’s revolve around “what if” and “let me give you an example” I know you guys are really close friends but honestly he makes himself sound ridiculous most of the time with his unconfirmed 10% true rumors. N4G has to keep their fans happy so if a shit load of people are all complaining about the guy that misleads them to get viewers with his show titles they’re going to change them. I watched 5 hiphop gamer shows so i know all about his shows, he only give’s rumors and speculation. When some of the stuff he is predicting starts coming true I’ll start watching again. And his constant PS3 spin is ridiculous. (I’m a PS3 only owner BTW)
I’ve asked him to do things too. I asked him to leave N4G since all they do is hate on him but he won’t do it. So whatever. I can’t make him do anything, I can just give him advice. That ‘microsoft buys valve?’ story was ridiculous! That is something that just won’t happen. But again, it’s his show, he can do what he wants. The problem with this particular show is that people were asking me about the title. So it mislead the whole world. I might have to ask him to change the titles that he posts on our site so it doesn’t look like it was The Bitbag that said Microsoft Buys Valve. I don’t know. I’m happy to be free of N4G. Time to move on to better things.
This is my first time visiting the site and I enjoyed the show alot. I wished I waited a few more weeks to get my 360 so I could of got one of those RE bundles myself, the box art is really cool. in terms of integrity and quality i see you as the next N’Gai Croal of gaming journalism, but a more successful version. HHG is not a journalist, he has said this himself, he’s about entertainment, but like with all latest and greatest hits, it only lasts for a time, until another hiphopgamer comes out and outshines him. but i hope he lasts, cause i really like the guy.
Torrence, I really enjoyed that Davis Daily… but, N4G were correct to change his title, his video embedding is up for debate, he shouldn’t care if he is only concerned for fans, but we both know it’s about his Alexa rank.
I know you said a lot of people create misleading titles, but that’s no excuse. If I made a website, and posted an article “Obama to ban GTA in the United States?” but you can’t see the question mark due to length issues, then I’d be at 10,000 degrees. HHG does this all the time, for that very reason, with headlines like “MS to buy Square Enix?” and I can’t see the question mark. This is misleading and just annoying.
You complain about them not editing other post with question marks, but they’re not dropping bombs on the industry with their quotes… See how hard it was for you to find a ridiculous story as; none were as ridiculously titled as HipHop’s. If HipHop has confidence in his show and brand, then he should post it like that without the misleading titles.

All this is fan work, he knows it and A) Doesn’t give any credit to the person who designed it. B) Uploaded the images blurry/fuzzy to make them look like they were secretly obtained and C)Continued to use the work but barely touched upon the images.
As for quitting N4G, HipHop won’t do it as he won’t get anywhere near as many hits if it weren’t posted on N4G. HipHop is 10x better on the Warzone, I’m not sure why, but possibly because the Warzone is truly for his love of games, and he not focused on his Alexa ranking.
I’ve already talked about this issue with HipHop weeks ago in some emails and I respect his love and enthusiasm for games, but I wish he would stop the misleading titles.

Please explain how it is okay to just edit one mans title and to force only him to embed his videos? If it is NOT your sites standard practice how can this be okay? This wouldn’t be a big deal if they did it to everyone but the fact is they DON’T in my other post i have examples of them leaving all kinds of flame bait titles and even those with question marks in them. They are being prejudice of HHG and are biased against him. That’s part of the whole reason why Torrence is shafting them from now on. They gave him the same treatment.

Honestly Torrence i ‘ve done the same thing to Gametrailers the community over there just got to small in the head. N4G was where I found Torrence and submitted that article with Sony saying point blank that they want 360 to succeed in Japan. It wasn’t my first news breaker into video game journalism; the X360 Elite story was the first with a friend of mine that goes by the name darkzero1 on Myspace. Make a long story short. I like to help a lot of people with news because it provides a good feeling whether the response is good or bad we all move on.
N4G is just full of too much hatred to stick around there. If new fans come along they can find us on Podcast or even through Digg if they want to. I just don’t see a point in N4G anymore to care. I met some cool people myself from there. As for Mass Effect 2, it’s the new Metal Gear Solid 4. Personally I don’t see it coming to PS3 based on the fact the first game has been out for awhile and EA hasn’t released a Mass Effect: One for PS3, and also the fact that EA is always the outspoken company that never is silent about what platform they release their games are on… what changed? It’ll come to X360 first then get a release on PC shortly after the 360 version. That’s your timed right there.

If a story like that was to appear on the news, many people would be interested, and for me then to say, It’s possible”. People would be pissed off that I did it and you would be pissed off too.
If HipHop is truly confident, change the story title himself and prove it isn’t the misleading titles. If he isn’t just leave N4G if you hate them that much. This isn’t a vendetta against HipHop, this is just a stance against his misleading titles.
You made a good point about the man’s article, and I understand about HipHop’s freedom of speech and etc. but that’s where his website comes into play, just like Torrence doesn’t allow racism or fanboyism on the True Gamer forums, N4G is allowed to edit/delete on their website. They never touched his article, they just changed the title as it appeared on THEIR website.

However sometimes when the source story doesn’t have a very useful headline it is ok to edit it to make the post more user-friendly. A good example would be for previews and reviews and sometimes interviews. The source headline here is often just Reviews : MotorStorm , this could be changed to IGN Reviews Motorstorm or something similar.
Note: “Always use the same headline as the source story”
While I agree, they have a right to change titles as it is their site, but their rules say the title has to be the same as the source story.
