Actually Torrence there is a problem with the controls in Killzone 2. Okay I can understand when you say that the controls are to make the game feel like it has weight, okay that is fine if it was just the left analog stick (Mobility) but how come on the start menu there is lag from when you press down or up on the controller till the time it takes to actually responds on screen, how does that make the game feel like it has weight? Why is there Input Lag when you move the crosshair (Right Analog Stick) and it makes you aim to far or not enough? Why when someone presses the shoot button there is lag and it isn’t till a couple milliseconds later you see the shot on screen? You see Torrence there actually is a problem with the controls and you and other people denying it isn’t helping. I know I am not playing Call of Duty and I don’t want Killzone 2 to be like Call of Duty I want Killzone 2 to be Killzone 2 but when there is Input Lag on every button you press it isn’t just frustrating but it really hurts the game in the long run. Thanks

DeathMammoth! You are absolutely right! It’s not the weight, that ruins the gameplay it’s the input lag! I’ve played the game for a couple of days now and got some sort of used to it, but today I popped in Fallout 3 (Hello! This is an RPG!) and immediately the controls felt RIGHT to me. I love the weighty feel of K2, I love to use burst fire as it is useful in SOCOM too, even can live with the slower turning around but can’t live with that lag! So I hope GG will fix this. This is NOT a design decision this is an issue! Every player would complain about a latency of 0,1 seconds but there’s a delay of allmost 0.2 seconds in the controls. And to all of you who deny this problem: the game is not a holy cow. It’s near perfection and needs to be fixed. Again: this is no design decision! This is lag! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yFa_EZORYo

  • Morituri says:

There is no lag. Maybe you guys should lay off of the hard stuff, because that is the only reasonable explanation I can think of for your “perceived” lag. 1`2

There is no lag. Maybe you guys should lay off of the hard stuff, because that is the only reasonable explanation I can think of for your “perceived” lag – and that is all that it is; a perception of lag – not actual lag. Play the game and stop chasing fairies.

Hit the link I posted. The video is not a fake! If it was GGs intention to create a weighty experience, fine give the weapons inertia. But my finger on the trigger has no inertia. Don’t believe them because there is absolutely no point in how Torrence called it “add a little delay to the controlls” this does not make sense.

Oh, and btw if you can’t see the delay between the input and the response on the screen maybe you should step up your medication.

Hit the link an you will see there’s LAG!!!

  • Spencer Thompson says:

Yeah I watch the link and there was definite input lag. On single player this doesn’t matter much but online hell yha it does that’s the difference between life or death. Imagine call of duty 4 with this input lag OMG there would be mass fustration!

  • Rumblefish says:

It is not that bad because everybody has the same amount of lag in the controls, but I don’t see that it makes sense to have a delay in the controls. That does not serve the game.

Hopefully they will get that fixed!

But even more important than the removal of the lag would be the option to deactivate respawn in the tactical game modes.

  • METtAL-GAMER says:
