    Sounds like a pretty interesting concept but the N64 actually had a extra port on the system for expansion (ram) needs. The only ports available on the current systems are the USB ports and seems like an odd port for really utilizing any extra ram memory. i for one wouldn’t want some kind of USB dongle hanging off of one of my USB ports. I can see the 60Gb PS3 doing a (Turbo Cache) style of upgrade via it’s SD slot or even the Wii doing the same but on the 360 all we have are USB ports. That’s not to say the USB can’t be used for that such feature because I am using my gaming notebook with a USB flash drive and it’s setup as Windows turbo cache. So it does work. I guess what I am trying to say is that even though this would be great for all gamers, I wouldn’t want to always have a USB flash drive popping out of my systems just to get a little more output. Not to mention that the programmers would essentially have to program each game with PC like GPU tweaks. LoL
    I’ll see what develops in the near future, if there is anything here at all?
    Great topic Torrence.

    @JorgieX

    its more about the games being able to run better on say the xbox 720…. or PS4…. no adding a chip like the N64 did….

    Its a pretty cool concept that could add a little extra to your games and help you relive them… I remember hearing that MS was looking into this a while ago…..maybe we will see it sometime down the road.
