Xbox Live should be free
Xbox Live is peer to peer for most games which means WE are hosting the servers and yet we are paying money to do it while PSN has many of the servers being hosted by the developers
Microsoft’s Xbox Live is not an ISP, they are the gatekeepers on our ability to connect to others over the internet with xbox live
It’s another fee to use our internet connection that doesn’t need to be there because I still haven’t seen any evidence presented by anybody to show how Microsoft actually improves OUR OWN internet performance on Xbox Live when we are hosting the servers for majority of these games
The People on live are no different than the people getting a free service on Playstation 3, Wii, Steam or any PC game using the internet
People are people and those 10 million on Live paying are just as good as the people getting it for free elsewhere.

-Live is fine at $4 bucks a month.And on Psn not all games are dedicated. Most 3rd party games run P2P.The goes for live if a dev wants a dedicated server they can run their own dedicated server its been done many times on live.

The whole thing you said about we are paying to watch majors minute is just stupid, you can do that, chat with friends, and download movies and games with a silver account which is free. Hell in all out honesty if you are that pissed about it don’t pay for it and use xboxconnect and other tunneling services and you don’t have to pay for it. Xbox Live charges us to use our own internet connection when we are hosting matches for majority of these games and they even show advertisements on NXE
Why defend paying when getting it for free is better and when other services on the PC and on PS3 and on Wii are just as good
I’ve owned both consoles and I have not noticed any difference between online gaming on the two and Gears of War 2 still takes awhile to find games and i’m paying extra to play this online

woah woah woah, wii doesn’t have online? you are trippin, hiphop? i dont know who exactly is making the most money off of their online, im guessing its the 360, but the only reason id say that is because they make you pay to actually play games online. im willing to bet that nintendo makes more money off of online features than the ps3 does, straight up. have you not ever heard of the virtual console, or wiiware? have you not played mario kart’s online? absolutely no lag. (smash bros is another story, sadly)
did you know that every monday, games for nintendo, super nintendo, nintendo 64, sega genesis, turbo grafx 16, neo geo, and many other platforms are being added? nintendo wii has the best catalog for classic games that i have seen this generation, period.
now this leads me into your bullshit analogy about wii being a featherweight in a boxing match, and sony and microsoft are the heavy weights. are you being serious right now? that would make sense if like.. the wii were losing horribly. but no, the wii is kicking the shit out of both of them, so if ANYTHING wii is the heavyweight. i think you need to find yourself a new analogy if you want to say the wii cant compete with the PS360.. or whats more fitting is the PS360 cant compete with the wii.
