sorry to sound so hateful, but i have to say.
torrence you say that the ps3 is newer hardware than the 360, which is just wrong, because both the 360 and ps3 hardware specs were announced together at e3′05, and their core tech(i.e cpu and gpu) did not change on release(the only difference is that MS rushed the 360 out). as a matter of fact the 360’s GPU is better and newer in terms of tech that the ps3’s RSX, but they’re not worlds apart as some people would have you believe. the cell and bluray are what make the ps3 superior. then you say even if the games on ps3 look better people shouldn’t be surprised, in a tone as to say “not impressed”, you then started sounding like just another dumbass 360 fanboy when you start talking shit like this, like this asshole(a video editor) from gametrailers.com http://dblock.gametrailers.com/gamepad/?action=viewblog&id=399161 ./rant i think you’re better than that.

The PS3 hardware, especially the GPU is not newer than the 360 one. The 360 has a much more powerful GPU, but the advantage of the PS3 is the CELL and BluRay, but i dont expect a noob to understand this.
Even the BitBag awards showed what a noob you are…how the hell can you award Gears 2 as the best hardware. Seems you have never played any PC. Go buy Crysis Warhead you noob and reconsider your award.

When I say the PS3 is newer than the 360, I’m talking about the CELL architecture. No one can argue that the CELL is more advanced than what is running in the 360. As a matter of fact, you said so yourself JMD. Why would I just consider the GPU when talking about the PS3 having newer hardware? The GPU’s are comparable. Everyone knows this. It’s the CELL and those SPE’s that give the Playstation 3 the hardware advantage.

If you are going to call me out, at least make your post look intelligent. Never waste your time bickering over awards if you don’t know how the award system works. Plus awards are for the devs and publishers, not for the gamers. If you think you know which games were the best for 2008, buy a domain, start a website and do your own awards.

thanks for replying, i hope this doesn’t change when you get all big like ign.lol the reason i will say that the cell is not newer, is that ibm were making both the 360’s cpu(the xenon) and the ps3’s cpu(the cell) concurrently, the difference is that one is more advanced than the other. i don’t put you in the same light as some of the other so called professional journalists/analysts out there that just talk loads of shit spreading misleading and manipulative information about the ps3(it could do no good in their eyes).
