Did you buy transformers on blu-ray as well or did you rent it?
lol i think its a trick lol if one is better than the other which i think B looks better but im not sure it could be my mind playing tricks on me cuz they REALLY look the same but which ever one looks better is gonna be hd dvd cuz u would put a video that is showing blu-ray looks better because that would be going against your statement or you jus showed the same hd dvd the same time lol but yeh i think its a trick i think its the same trick
Ha, I didn’t even look at the resident evil comparison.I could care less which one looks better as long as they’re both close.It was lead on the ps3 so it shouldn’t be a shity port.
I could care less about the blu-ray/hd vdv war but just for the sake of it I’m gonna say the 2nd video is blu-ray.

They are not the same.If you look closely when they’re side by side you’ll see that the one on the left is brighter than the one one the right.Besides why would he try to cover up which one looks better?It would ruin all credibility for this site.
The reason one is brighter or a little different than the other is because they are played back on different players. If it was an HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player, they would look exactly the same. Outputs on different machines can sometimes be different. I assure you, they are not the same. When you see the video tonight you’ll understand what I mean.
I’d like to know if people are picking one over the other because they think one looks better or not. If you think they are the same, just say the look the same and don’t guess.
RE5 was developed on PC.
I’m not guessing which one looks better I’m guessing which one is blu-ray.The color differences are impossible to notice unless the video’s are side by side.To me it doesn’t matter, they both look pretty much identical but If I had to choose one I would pick the blu-ray version which ever one it is because hd dvd is dead.I would pick blu-ray over hd dvd version even if the hd version is the better looking one.because hd dvd is dead.

BTW, you SHOULD be buying Blu-Ray because that’s what you own. I’m actively buying both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. That Transformers HD-DVD I bought for this post costs me $7.00. I own all 3 versions now LOL.

Hey Tor, I just wanted to thank you for doing the Davis Daily yesterday. Things are gonna be real quiet on my pc until you guys do another warzone. Love the shit man, cant wait to hear all of you again.
So yeah this is the first Davis Daily I seen, its pretty fresh. So i was watching and watching, then I heard you say that you dont see Sony every really getting a spike in sales in the future. Wow thats a pretty big statement bud, considering that the ps3 has yet to let its heavy hitters release yet. Sure, you wont see a Halo spike like the 360 had, but the thing is that gamers are becoming more educated about their purchases then ever before, and people that thought they never needed a ps3 will eventually buy one once they see the potential of great games coming out for it.
Im not dissing you, but I think you need stop talking about the future in sales for gaming because that is something that only God would ever understand. For instance. Everyone is saying that the ps3 is too expensive thats why the 360 is winning right? Sure it might play some factor in it. But why is the Wii selling better then both consoles combined if its all about price? So price isn’t really the factor that all of you media types make it out to be.
My guess is that there will be a surge in next gen console purchases once the Wii generation wants to upgrade. Thats around 40 million potential buyers. Im not saying that they are all gonna be buying it at once. These people will eventually feel like they are missing out and want to get the next best thing. The runner ups are the 360 and the ps3. Both systems are great, but there will be a big difference between the 2 coming 2009. The ps3 is gonna look real good with its exclusive lineup of casual, rpg, action, and shooter genres, including every game that is worth a damn on the 360. Sure the multiplats will be better because of xbox live, thats why I buy them of course. But all the Wii consumers just look at the blu ray and free online and they will be sold.

yo torrence, i’ve heard u say this a couple of times now with the guns of killzone 2.
regarding the shotgun and the rocket launcher etc…
the shotgun Should be more powerful and take one hit to kill, where the assault rifle takes more bullets but can shoot at a further difference, i can see if the shotgun had the same range as the AR but… this is how it goes in real life…
Shotgun strengths- Close range 1 GOOD shot, kill
Weaknesses- slow rate of fire, shorther range
AR strengths- faster rate of fire ,further range
Weaknesses- less damage per shot , essentially weaker
Rocket strengths- medium to long distance, big blast radius
Weaknesses- minimal ammo, slow rate of fire, longer reload time
i think its how it should be, bit of a rock paper scissors setup… if all the guns were equal then there would be no tactics ie. snipers in back, shotguns out front ect.
so someone with a shotgun SHOULD murder u if ur close to him, you SHOULDN’T have a chance with ur assault rifle… but on the flip side if u see that shotgunner 100 yards away, he doesn’t stand a chance against you… soo u see guns shouldn’t be overly balanced and should represent their real life counter part abilities and weaknesses…
imo, it makes it funner to play, say i have the shotgun, i’m sticking close to walls staying in the dark trying to get close to that enemy and then take my shot, trying to avoid being spotted from a distance, OR
say i’m the assault rifleman, I’m strategically popping my corners so i don’t blindly run into a shotgunner, I’m staying with my back to the walls so he can’t get in close behind me, and i can kill him from a far… Catch my drift??
i know I’m ranting a bit but this is my domain as a former marine of 3 years, and don’t take it as a bash I’m just trying to shed a little light on things…

Well in real life, one bullet from any gun close range could kill you.

True but in RL, one bullet to the leg would disable most humans. I was hitting people with 3 or 4 and they wouldn’t go down. It doesn’t irk me that bad, but since it’s a game, there needs to be a bit more balance. In COD4 you CAN survive a close range shotgun blast, just not too often. The rocket launcher is fucking rediculous. I think if they balance the teams so people at the same rank play each other, it will fix this problem.
The red Helgan eyes, this HAS to be fixed or everyone will be picking the non-Helgan faction like the did in beta and it will unbalance the teams. I played a game where it was me agains 7 other people and I was the only Helgan. Do you know why? Cuz no one wants to play a class that you can see 100 yards away in the dark because of their eyes. All they need to do is turn the eyes off in Multiplayer. We will see.
Its funny that you talk about a game needing balancing in a game, yet you dont talk about Gears of War 2 Tor. Gun balancing is the reason why it killed the game for me. I cant count how many times I would put half a clip into someone without missing a shot, then get blasted with a shotgun one time and die. Im pretty sure Gears 2 needs more balancing then Killzone 2 does.
There are tons of games that have those kinds of issues Tor, but you need to be real and talk about all the other games that are even worse. Like COD. I have a friend that uses a sniper rifle at close range no scoping anyone that comes in his path.. He can no scope me across the map. Why is everyone talking about Killzone 2 like its the epitome of unbalanced weapons when Gears 2 is even worse? I dont know whats up with you and Killzone Tor. Maybe its just that you suck at the game? Im not talking shit, im being fuckin real man.
I’m talking about KZ2 because someone asked me to LOL. It was in a letter from a fan. They wanted to know about balancing.
Yeah you can run around with a sniper and plug people at close range but it’s REALLY hard. Not a lot of people are doing it. I think 2 people have ever killed me this way. In KZ2, most of my deaths are caused by rocket launcher or shotgun.
I don’t talk about Gears 2 because the only multiplay I do in Gears 2 is horde. I did regular multiplay one time with bitbaggers and had a blast. Got fucking owned too. Gears is an entirely different beast and if I witnessed the unbalancing that you guys did, I would talk about it more too. I just only play Horde.

I haven’t checked out RE5 or read/seen anything about the comparison and wont even bother. Thanks for the head up, good to know the PS3 and 360 are the same. Honestly the PS3 controller feels better in my hand for some reason so am getting the PS3 version.

Good vid T. Your right about how that both movies are being played on two different players, but it should still look the same in certain cases. Video A and Video B both look great as hell, but Video A to me in my opinion look more darker through-out the whole part you played while Video B looks exactly the same but more brighter, where it looks like that the company put a little more time into the movie so that you can see more details through-out the movie. Now a person that seen the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray versions could tell a difference because of the time difference of the movie release, but overall the only real way to find out is if someone can have the movie played back on a universal player. My thought Video B looks better because I see more details. See you in Vegas Thurs. !!!!!

yea that eye shit needs to be fixed, i heard they were gonna make it fade in the final version so u can only see them if there kinda close…
in that case absolutely… as I’m sure they will tweak it more… but when it comes out i hope we both win and each gun keeps it’s attributes but at the same time is fair…the more people they can please, the better. I just hope it keeps that “chess” feel and doesn’t sacrifice what makes each weapon different, as far as I’m concerned it doesn’t get much funner than when u need the WHOLE team to work as one machine instead of just 1 geek with a shotty cleaning house lol.
In all seriousness tho, criticisms aside, i mean this game is gonna rock!! can’t help but be excited…
