Sonic Unleashed Coming To 360 Before PS3
I’ve just received an email from my Sega contact that the 360 version of the game will be released on November 24th but the PS3 version won’t be released until December. This means that the 360 version will get the holiday shopping advantage.
I’ve asked this question before and I’ll ask it again. When it comes to next generation multiplatform titles, why can’t publishers release them day and date on each console? Are they trying to take advantage of Black Friday by squeezing the 360 version out early? I don’t think Microsoft paid them for a staggered released so what gives? If you want to have balance with 3rd party titles, you must release them day and date with each console.
I’m hoping Sony cracks the whip in 2009 to create some balance in this industry. Microsoft has truly dominated by successfully marketing their products to death. Sony doesn’t want to spend money on exclusives but they could spend a little money to at least ensure that PS3 gamers can get a multiplatform game when it’s FIRST released and not weeks later. Don’t even get me started on how Europe gets fucked in the ass hard when it comes to Playstation 3 releases. Europe is their number one market right now and they are literally getting screwed with all major first party releases from Sony.
If you are a PS3 owner, don’t just sit idly while this continues to happen. Send an email to Sony and tell them to start putting their hands on 3rd party releases so you can get the games when they are first released.

It’s just a sonic game but still, what reason is there for a developer to not release the game on both platforms on the same day?It’s not like they can still say the ps3 is too hard to develop for and needs more time.It’s been 2 years already.They should of been able to figure out the system by now.

He just simply stated that they are still showing favoritism to the 360 when it comes to 3rd parties and that sony needs to step it up in that department and its consumers need to protest so it will stop how the fuck is he swinging on 360′s nutts for just stating facts. Hmm, stuff like this kinda rubs me the wrong way. I agree with you though Torrence. I think that if you’re gonna bring it out on all the platforms it should be on the same day. I’m not sure how well a Sonic game will sell, but that’s not the point. The PS3 users who want this have to wait now.

tell me about it i live in europe and we still dont have resistance2! its out next friday, we dont have a video store on psn or quore and the US gets demos before we do! and theres more ps3s in europe than american its BS

Why does that make him a fanboy? Like he has said countless times before we got the human sony market man that is hiphopgamer (no disrespect) There has to be someone to point in the other direction or then you know what this becomes a one sided site, like the countless others that are out there. I own all three systems an i love them all but lets just face it sony is not the god of the console, it has a lot of things that it needs to improve on as well as microsoft and nintendo. This area that torrence is talking about is one of them. This is why i love this site because we don’t get recycled trash like other sites do. We want to get on and look at information pertaining to our systems and the games we play and communicate as a community. The only thing sony can prove is that its more powerful, and that doesn’t make it better because if it did it wouldnt be in last place right now. Its all a matter of opinion and you cant argue it. One person might want all graphics when he plays a game, another may want just fun game play, while the other might want community aspect of it. some may want to watch movies, others may want to download classics, the point is what one person wants the other may not even be fucking interested in. so all this bickering about whats better is useless and pointless. Every one has a different preference and nobody can say whats better and whats not. Its so funny how sony fanboys, and microsoft fanboys are sitting here bickering about bullshit while nintendo just sails right on by without putting forth any effort, its a less powerful system, doesnt have as many features and the games for some can come to question about, but they are free sailing way with the lead in the market and didnt have to put forth as much effort. wake up people gaming is not about whats more powerful, what has more features that have nothing to do with gaming, or how big the graphics are, its about how much fun can i have playing games alone, with my friends, and online.
