Well it happened! I finally got hit with a RROD tonight while playing Forza 2 online. No biggie though. My box is confirmed and shipping from Microsoft as of 12:21AM. They are really fast! It’s funny cuz today I ordered an Elite. The day I order an Elite my Pro dies. WTF!?!? I’m honestly not pissed about it either. I know Microsoft has me covered.

that’s the reason i didn’t buy xbox 360… even with the 3 year warranty i just don’t want to go through the extra hassle of filling out shit and shipping it off and waiting…..
i’ve heard stories of sony blue-ray dieing…wish hardware was strong like back in the days of Super nintendo…you could throw that stuff around and it would never break
They really have good turn around times, and as far as filling paper work out? You call them, they ship you a box, no questions asked.

RROD so he sent back to Microsoft and got a new one
and then sold it to me because I finally decided to

I bought my core systaem” no HDD” at launch and its still running like a champ.I have only used it vertical.My bro bought his pro 1 year ago and has sent it in 3 times and he always had it laying flat.
Well be happy that it happended now. So you can get it back in two weeks flat. Also you will have a nicely fixed good as new system. Good deal on the Elite. I had bought my Elite day one and just sold my Original Pro system for 250.00. Now if we could get the NXE and I would install Saints2 to stop all that loud Disc access sound.
I bet you’d be pissed if you didn’t have an elite coming, I went out and bought PS3 after my 360 RROD, I’ll be damned if I was gonna game on only Wii for a month!
The RROD is why I haven’t bought a 360 and probably never will until the 360 is RROD free… I just can’t see myself spending money on a product that’s already known for hardware failure.
