I think Sony is depending on the success of PS2 to carry over to their current system PS3 bottom line Sony has a great line up provide a crazy ass service but they need to get up off their ass and get with the program start marketing your product.

Great show, gamer! That gamers in the streets video was hot man….It seemed so exciting and stuff lol. Lego Batman looks like a pretty fun game..PlayTV looks like a pretty cool thing to have but I’m not sure if I’ll need it or anything. lol Great fight at the end!!! lol This and the Warzone are like the two things that I can sit and watch (or listen) for an hour

Splenda, that’s just your opinion, a lot of people are more excited about what sony has to offer. I personally think sony makes better games. You really can’t go wrong with the xbox’s price right now though, and Fable 2 is coming out!

The ps3’s price wont reach $250 for atleast 1 more year if not 2 and by then the xbox elite will be atleast $200 with a pro around $100.Its not hardware its software and3rd parties wont work with single console anymore. as it stands 360 will win over the ps3 .Only way the ps3 sells more is if the 360 is dumped early

M$ has a great time using sublimal messages to get people to want there product. just seeing it in a movie or on tv isnt just adspace when a person see’s it in a movie or tv they well say i have to get a xbox cuz its on tv and in a movie

Once again great show man. At first I wasn’t agreeing with you at first about 360 beating PS3 this generation but after watching the show I really looked at 360 in a different way. The marketing, the new price points, xbl, the games, etc… They are making no bones about getting to the top. If they win then one could only wonder what would sony think? How would they be looked upon as a company? What will be there ultimate fate? I think these are the question Sony and all loyal PS3 owners must asked themselves. Are even better yet what impact would sony have on the industry as a whole if they lost? How would the world react? These are very, very real questions that I and maybe others have thought about. I think that a time will come when a new champ will take the throne and change the face of gaming as we know it. I know this maybe crazy but I think that one day in the very near future that MS and Nintendo will join forces. I know everybody will read this and say that is crazy but all I’m asking you all is to really open your mind and just think about it. The Wii has somthing that MS wants and visa versa. I will leave out with this. I think the battle will not be won by one alone but two…….Im just throwing that out there. See ya on the Warzone.

Its not about who is better its a numbers game and microsoft is winning point blank and period. thats not their fault thats sonys fault for not utilizing proper marketing techniques. its like i said before yea 5 to 10 years down the line sony might catch up and surpass the 360 but by then we are going to be looking for the next big thing, cause even right now we arent satisfied with what we have so 5 years down the line we are going to want the new shit.
Microsoft has about a 5 million console lead right now, and sony would have to sell a million a month, with microsoft not selling any thing in order to catch up any time in the near future. Lucky if its in 2009 but thats something that we will find out after the holiday numbers roll in. It really doesnt matter because if you are a real gamer then you are going to enjoy what either of the two consoles do no matter if you own both all 3 or just one. Its not about what you think is the better console its about the numbers and thats what the real console war is about before fanboys, and other idiots got involved and sony and microsoft are both losing cause nintendo is smashing that ass without even putting forth effort.

To the talking point of the show. I must say I love my 360 and PS3 the same..but I love the 360 controller the best…Both systems look great, play great, and sound great…OK, The 360 does push marketing hard on select titles and does a better job than SONY in that department but that might all change by this holiday season which it is about to start.
Right now I am hooked on LBP Beta and I can’t stop playing it and since the game is basicly simple but challenging the controller is not an issue for me. I still get pulled to my 360 for all of my real hardcore online gaming since I am at a disadvantage when on my PS3 cause of the DualS3. I think this is gonna be a big year in Japan for the loley 360 good work to MS for pushing the system and not droppin the Japan market completely. The Wii..????? Movin on –> I will love Killzone2 yes the graphics look way better than HALO3 but will it control as good “for me” and will the online be stable and lagless? In any point I’m ramblin…Great show and peace..!

What exactly makes the 360 next-gen? HD?
God of War 2 has an HD setting.
The 360 released a year earlier. (Than the comp)
Yet it has PS2 & O~Xbox specs. i.e. dvd,hd,hdd.
With that said. The Wii is still considered next-gen because of motion controls. (console motion controls is old news) But why is it still considered next-gen?
This gens console war “playoffs” begin when the Nin, Sony or MS releases their next console, and they still have to support the Wii,PS3, and 360.
The gen is OVER when the last company stops production. Plain & Simple

Like i said 5 to 10 years down the line im going to be playing the next system and, im not going to wait 5 to 10 years for sony to finally decide to implement all its features. if you plan on waiting that long to get the most out of your system that you most likely paid 5 to 600 dollars on then thats good for you but by then ill be moving on. just because the ps3 has a 10 year life plan doesnt mean the next system for sony won’t be out. so why would i wait 10 years just to jump to the next boat. when 360 came out i was fading away with ps2, when ps3 came out i completely stopped playing ps2 just because the ps2 is still going why would i want to sit and wait while every one else is playing better stuff. I don’t know about you but i buy a console for right now not for what it can do 10 years later.

First off I want to point out something about the Ryan Payton move to MS, he is woking on the NEXT HALO GAME BABY.
Now, about sales, lets see Im going to disagree with you about that.
1- just because MS cut the price of the 360 it doesn’t mean it will sell like hot cakes or the sales would sky rocket, demand is something more important than cutting the price, look at the Wii for example, did they fear the 360’s new price? NOOO because they know it will not outsell the Wii, the demand of the Wii is much higher, that goes also for the PS3, the demand of the PS3 is much higher than the 360 and I have a solid proof of that, the ps3 outsold the 360 in their playground ( NA ) at a selling price of $400 compared to the 360’s $250, did anybody care about the 360 when it was $250? I don’t think so and the sales of the PS3 proves it almost all year long, losing just the last two months is not something big for Sony and I don’t think they will lose big time, I think the sales of both console willd be neck and neck.
ofcourse cutting the price will make a big boost at sales of 360 but we should wait and see if the new price really going to push the 360 or not compared to last year’s holiday season sales of the 360.
2- On the marketing area I agree with you but lets wait and see how will they market LBP? the LBP beta key was one of the best marketing techniques ever made in the video gaming history in my opnion, I didn’t see such madness like LBP Beta madness, even Halo 3 beta was not marketed like this and this is only about Beta keys, just imagine what will they do next?
I mean putting their game in every major site and giving betas for free, that was crazy, Eurogamer crashed the other day when they announced the beta.
And EA promoted FIFA 09 as a PS3 game, Sony is doing it this year.
Just watch it and tell me if that was not crazy.

3- Games are subjective, and you are talking just like the PS3 doesn’t have games that hold on it’s own against the 360, you have MGS4 and GT5 and they are both out now, they pushed the sales of the PS3 alot.
Gears pushed the 360 sales but Halo 3 didn’t, go and check out and see foryourself which system sold more consoles Gears or Halo 3?
compared to what MGS4 and GT5p did, they both boosted PS3 sales, people are delusional if they think Blu-Ray pushed the system because the attach rate of PS3 games sold says other wise.
And about MS concentrating on two games rather than releasing alot of games implying that Sony is doing this well Sony is releasing alot of different games and most of them are quality franchises so in Sony’s case quality = quantity.
MS is making an aggresive competition against Sony and Im loving how they are pushing Sony to its limits so props for MS for making a better environment this gen, however, I prefer Sony and I think they will come on top of te 360 at least this gen.

PS3 is the official next console after the PS2, means it is the NEXT GEN CONSOLE.
Wii is successor of the gamecube meaning it is the NEXT GEN CONSOLE.

Just because you love those titles both MGS4 and GTA doesn’t mean the mainstream players did. I quote “HATE” MGS4 and so do many hundreds of my friends so in that case many thousands of other player must feel the same as I do and you believe that people love those games like you do. So even though great games MGS4 is and always will be a nitche game and only the fans of the series will buy it not and new gamers. HALO3 has sold over 10 million and MGS4 is not even any where near those numbers..lmao Also GTA4 for 360 sold around 80% of the total sales numbers for Take2.
