First Splatterhouse Pics Arrive

Namco just dropped a couple of pics of their new Splatterhouse title. Notice the protruding bones in the first pic and the lack of an arm in the second pic. This looks to be a true gorefest.

The Beatles Come To Rock Band…Nuff Said

Well it’s all here in digital white ink! This morning at 10am, MTV and Apple Corps LTD. held a conference to announce a joint venture to bring the Beatles music to Rock Band. Now while this doesn’t come out and say it will be a Rock Band game, there is enough info in this release that a monkey could figure it out. Just like Guitar Hero Aerosmith, expect a Rock Band Beatles game in 2009. That’s my theory. Here’s the full press release: Read the rest of this entry »

Japan Gaming Episode 11: Capcom vs SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 & Street Fighter III 3rd Strike (Value Pack)

Review: NBA 09: The Inside

One of the things that set NBA 09 above some of the other portable basketball titles is the amount of extra content that is provided. Sure you have all the normal modes and player extras that you would normally find in a NBA game, but San Diego studios went the extra mile by adding other wonderful fillers that makes the game even more enjoyable. Some of the things included were Carnival games like Shooting Bricks (Breakout type game), Big Shooter (Skee Ball), Hot Shot (Arcade Hoops w/ moving backboard), etc…; Team Games like Dodge Ball, Fast Break, Elimation; Quest Games (Conquest, Elimiquest), Solo Games (Horse, Own the Court, Bang the Boards) and even Pinball games (7 of them). All this extra stuff is on top of the regular Exhibition, Playoffs, Franchise and All-Star Weekend modes. I found myself playing more of the bonus casual games, then the regular season games.

2008 LG HDTVs (LG50, 60, and 70 series) – Consumer Warning

Back in June, after deciding (and trying in my home) that the Samsung LN46A650 and LN46A550 wouldn’t work well for my setup, due to their glossy and semi-glossy/matte screens, respectively, I decided to try out LG once again. The following article will detail the various issues that I experienced over the past few months.

Review: Fallout 3

The Fallout series goes back 11yrs. It has always been a highly acclaimed PC title and would continually get better with each new game. It had a very unique art design and isometric camera that was akin to many PC games of the early 90’s. Fallout was a series that I never had interest in. It was one early afternoon at E3 when I got a chance to spend some time with Fallout 3. Ever since then, I’ve been nothing but enthralled. Read the rest of this entry »

As one of the lucky thousands of people able to play Little Big Planet during the Beta period I must say I was impressed by the game.  It has added a fresh experience to gaming that we were all greatly in need of, the ability to create content and share it with others.  Thousands of gamers with huge imaginations ready for an outlet for their creativity.  Or so we thought…

Fallout 3 Embargo Swag

I received my Fallout 3 copy on Friday. Along with the dandy embargo letter, they like to send you a trinket to help you keep your mouth shut. I was sent not one, but two Vault Dweller’s Survival Guides. It’s a tiny little book that gives you some cool details about surviving outside of the Vault. Enjoy the gallery I’ve created and while your at it, tell me the year that the first Fallout was published for a chance to win one of these Vault Dweller’s Survival Guides. Email your answer to contests@thebitbag.com.

Little Big Planet 1.02 Patch Released

I logged onto LBP tonight to see if the servers were up and was surprised to see that a patch was available. I installed the patch but the servers were still down. I have no idea what MM added to the game. It may have something to do with the music track that held the games release date back a week but I’m not sure. If you pre-ordered at Gamestop you should have your copy in your hands right now. See you in the creatosphere!
