Next Gen Gaming At An Affordable Price
Well it’s finally here folks. The $199 next gen price point. I have to admit, I hated the idea of the Core system and personally, I still don’t like the Arcade. I have to have a hard disk with my Xbox 360. Microsoft spoiled me last gen and I still haven’t used 1/4th of that hard disk on my Xbox 1. Still though, you have to put this into perspective. You can get an Xbox 360 with a wireless controller and a memory card for $199 and still be able to play every single game in the 360’s library. That’s not bad at all. Dedicated Or Peer, That Is The Question
There’s been some misinformation being spread about the use of dedicated vs peer servers in next gen gaming. The PS3 masses have assumed that all PS3 multiplayer games are dedicated and all Xbox 360 multiplayer games are peer based. They couldn’t be farther from the truth. Pirates VS. Ninjas Releasing this Wednesday on XBLA
Although the press release below (from last week) is regarding the Winter release on the Wii, I just received confirmation that the XBLA version will be releasing this Wednesday, September 3. For some reason it’s hard to obtain release dates for downloadable titles, but this one has been in development for an extremely long time and has received a lot of publicity ever since it was first announced. May history be determined once and for all this Wednesday.
