Sony to charge monthly/yearly fee for MMO MAG?

Today I received a survey from Sony Playstation Underground and it seemed to be related MAG. The survey asked at least 15 questions related to Payment plans for the game. Seems Sony’s plan is to charge a yearly or monthly fee, while also one time fees for content downloads. It also mentioned hosting partners being EA, Sony, and Activision. So turns out not all games on PSN are going to be free after all. I wish I would have taken some screen captures of this email. Playstation Underground members check your email for a letter called “Short Survey. Big New Game.” More info from the email below. Stay tuned for more details.
UPDATE: Looks as if other Playstation Underground members have received this same survey. Many discussion boards around the net are buzzing about this confirming that others have received the survey. If any of you have this survey sitting in your inbox and haven’t completed it yet, please send some screenshots to us here at thebigbag.com and we will post them.

where in that picture does it say anything about a FEE?
maybe they were trying to gauge if there should be a fee from what people say in the survey ?
It wasn’t an outright we are going to charge a fee, what do you think about that?
Dongalos. The Email just links to the actual survey. I stupidly did not take any shots of the actual survey but i promise you this survey was about MAG and heavily asked about payment options.
You are right, potentially they may not charge for it. But with the amount of people they are planning to host in a single game, the hardware and infrastructure would need to be state of the art. A payment plan would not be a shocker.

There have been massive and persistent in scale online games with no fees such as Guild Wars for the PC, it has many of the features Massive Multiplayer Online games have without the fee and they plan to do the same with Guild Wars 2 but expand on it even more

As far as screen shots go, I have 2 from the survey. dongolos probably has it right about the fee. I think they are getting a feel from the gaming community. Some of the options were one time fees for the same options they gave thru optional annual pricing options from the Survey. Fortunatly I have a Crappy “iphone” and was able to take those 2 screen shots. I dont exactly know how to upload them but give me an address and I’ll shoot em over! Oh and the other stuff in the survey was about what to have more on the PSN, example: more PS1 games, PSP games, Updates, other, Themes, and possability for theme fees??? I thought Sony offered free software to create these? Well thats what I seen.
