If Nintendo made a peripheral to make it high def then I still think it won’t be competition because it’s not a hardcore
system.They get the sales that they do because parents see the commercials and see how family friendly it it with games like boom blocks and cooking mama.Even if it went high def I don’t think hardcore gamers would want to play cooking mama just because it looks better.
Cenas rap gimmick was so much better than his current boring ass one. anyway great show man, that street fighter match with ur girl was intense lol. And i cant wait for 50’s new shit..I GET IT!!!

if nintendo made the wii hi def (which would never happen), it wouldnt be for people playing cooking mama, it would be for people playing actual one player games that are actually worth buying. i think you have a misconception about what the wii is.

If u look at the commercials, Nintendo’s E3 press conference and the games themselves then u can see that 90% of Nintendo’s games are for the casual.Of course there are still some hardcore games left like madworld and zelda, but I don’t think that’s enough to compete with F.E.A.R 2, KILLZONE, GOD OF WAR or most other games for the 360 or ps3.
Would you go out and buy the high def add-on for just a couple of games.If u would then that’s great but I think it would be stupid for Nintendo to go hardcore and switch from their highly successful casual market to the core market and have to compete with 2 other competitors.
Im so tired of every one thinking there is only a couple of games catered to the so called hardcore. First hardcore is to each his own and means different things to different people. Second last time i check they had enough games to cater the hardcore its just lazy ass third parties are trying to cash in on the hype and flood the market with crap.
mario galaxy is a game that caters to both, zelda caters to both, metroid prime is a hardcore game, smashbros, medal of honor, call of duty, madden 07, and 08, manhunt, resident evil 4, and umbrella chronicles, house of the dead, fire emblem, starwars force unleashed, scarface, godfather and the list can go on and on, not including games that have yet to come out.
Its time for people to stop being biased towards the wii and actually investigate what the wii does have. They have games for every one its just people fall to far into the casual hype that they cant see it. Or they are worried about what someone else thinks cause they are too insecure to make decisions on there own. Yes we know third parties are flooding the market with bullshit, and yes we know nintendo is not pumping their games out fast enough but ignore that and keep an open mind and this is a great system that has some good games that are getting overlooked.
If nintendo gets third place i think its mainly cause they put themselves there with the shortage.
oh and lets not for get the virtual store on the wii which is clocking in just as much as psn and xbla

its not even about that its about every ones flawed logic trying to downplay a system that they for some reason they can’t understand why its sells more then the top tier machines that they call next gen. last time i checked casual gamers didnt stand in line on launch nights to buy a system, last time i checked casual gamers didn’t spend twice what a console is worth just to get it. yes their marketing is aimed towards the casual market but its the hardcore and the faithful that keep the system and its core games alive. they are not just casual they are aimed at everyone meaning every one can play and have fun regardless of skill level if thats a bad thing then i feel sorry for gaming. psn and xbla are aimed at casual gamers but its ok for them to do it but wii does it and its bad just because its not highdef come on where is the logic of that. High def doesnt even mean hardcore gaming its just a fucking visual extra and if thats what people base hardcore on high def- M rated games, then they have no real concept of what a real hardcore gamer is and in turn shouldn’t make comments on things they don’t understand. Oh you are right about one thing they don’t have to compete because they are already whoopen ass, so its not nintendo that needs to step they game up its the other two, and third parties. they have games that cater to every body you just fail to realize it cause you are stuck in your bubble.

Like I said, 90% casual and 10% core.Boom blocks and cooking mama for the casual but still a couple of high rated core games like mario.U have to realize that not everyone likes mario anymore.To me it feels like a casual core game.A mix of both but that’s just me.U have to realize that more and more people are leaning towards the hardcore shooters like halo and gears and those people would rather kill enemies online in call of duty 4 rather than jump on an enemy in mario.They just like those games better.Just go ask hiphop or torrence if they would rather play mario or cod4.

Everyone likes different types of games.Some people like the hardcore gory shooters and some people like zelda and mario.Just because not everyone likes the same games u like u don’t have to flip out and act like a fanboy.

Core-Games that require a learning curve and are played in bigger chunks and most of the time halve a deep story like mgs or halo.
It doesn’t take much effort playing guitar hero or boom blocks were as trying to play cod4 will take some time to get into and most people will play them in larger chunks.Another example is bioshock.
You don’t seem to get Nintendo’s strategy and how they get the sales that they do.Last gen they tried to follow the same path as Sony and failed.Now that nobody was really making family games they decided to take that root and made a fortune.
You have to realize that Sony and Microsoft are the complete opposite of Nintendo as they or 10% casual and 90% core, not counting downloaded games as they aren’t on a disk and when people look at their games they don’t see them and that’s what draws people to the next gen consoles.U see a 360 and u see shooters.U see the wii and u see family fun.The people that buy a 360 wan’t to play cod and halo, not cooking mama.

you see there is the flaw in your logic right there. i don’t think someone that puts lots of time and effort into perfecting guitar hero would consider himself a casual gamer. i know people that play chunks here and there of halo but that doesnt make them hardcore.
See this is but a small part in symbolic internationalism where me and you will never agree or can even begin to agree because our definitions of hardcore and casual are different and if we cant begin to agree on the symbol or term interaction or agreement cant occur. See little do you know it because you don’t have any gaming history but casual is in all that you call hardcore every game that you think is hardcore is not actually hardcore any more and hasn’t been for the past 3 years. if you think cod4 has a hard learning curve then not to throw a diss but i don’t know any other way to put this your skills in gaming are very low. I said guitar hero is a casual game, I never said a hardcore gamer can’t play it.With cod4 a gamer will easily be able to play it as he’s used to those kind of games as where if u try and get your girlfriend or parents to play it they won’t know what the hell to do and will see all these buttons on the controller and all of them will do something different so how are they supposed to know how to play it?

As u said “chunks here and there of halo”.Like I Said, a casual gamer doesn’t get into a game.They only play small chunks of a game and won’t spent 3-4 hours playing it and don’t care about stat’s or the story.

my girlfriend doesnt even play games like that and she hopped on cod4 cause she saw me and her cousin playing online she made her a psn account and she plays it just fine and she never touched a shooter before that, so from your viewpoint she shouldnt know how to play that game? there is another way your thinking is just so stupid. so i guess from your standpoint girls don’t know how to play games, hmm last time i checked hiphop and countless other people i know play with there girlfriends and wives so i think you need to open your eyes and get out more. your girlfriend(if you have one) doesnt count for every girl so don’t make comments based on stupid stereotypes. Andrea Rene is a hardcore gamer and plays that rockband and guitar hero so of course she would be able to beat him.I don’t know about your so called girlfriend but not everyone is like that.Iv gotten people to play shooters before that don’t like games but it’s tooken them a good 10 minutes get the control’s and the feel of the game down.I never said women are the only casual gamers I just listed them as about 70% of them are.Hell even Nintendo said that themselves at E3.
