That’s the way it should be.All 3rd party games multiplatform.Than everyone can enjoy games like bioshock and final fantasy and 3rd party companies will make more money too so it would help them become bigger and able to make better games because they have more money to deal with.Just imagine if call of duty went exclusive to 360.That would piss a lot of people off and the quality would suffer because they would be losing money.
If and when all 3rd parties go multiplatform it would kill microsoft though, because they’ll be like “oh shit we have actually start making games” and they will no longer be able to use their money to make a game exclusive.It will be a good lesson for them though.
Sony has more 1st party studios so I would say they would be better.

About the dreamcast 2, the system would SUCK because they’ve lost so much money over the years they wouldn’t be able to keep up with games and just look at sega’s games now.They suck.NIntendo also used to be good but they suck now too.Sega isn’t what it used to be man, I thought you knew that.

Who wins the console war is not benefiting any of us but yet we talk and argue about it like it is. In all out honesty what really determines the winner and when? It would still be based on opinion so its still going to be an argument so why give a fuck. Is this what we are going to argue and bicker about for the next 3 to 4 years when the next consoles come out and then recycle the same old shit again. The only reason the dreamcast failed was because of piracy. Other then that it was a great system with great games. If they decided to make another console i know they would be successful because the majority of games on the wii that are successful are sega games. Thats a whole market right there they would cut into. Then they would make current gen games, and current gen versions of games that were hot for them like shinimue, and others.
What im tired of is snott nose brats like yourself that comment on things they know nothing about. without sega you might not have playstation or xbox. They might not have felt it was worth jumping into the game if it werent for sega and nintendo going at it for all those years. With out sega nintendo would have had a monopoly on the game industry, we might not have all the creativity and success we have today because their would have been no one to make nintendo make better games and systems. Sega brought a lot to this industry and still is bringing alot to this industry so untill you can do what they do shut the fuck up.

The only consoles I haven’t played are the Sega cd, intellevision and the comador 64 so id say iv been around the block long enough to know about gaming.I just wasn’t a hardcore gamer back then.

I mean who would think you can get payed just to play a game, like testers, tournaments, and professional gaming. Gaming has social,health,mathmatical,and other educational values, that have been proven or are in current research. Gaming is the reason why we have sites like these to talk on, the reason we have blogs, videos, etc Without gaming we wouldnt be sitting here watching hiphop gamer, on the bitbag. Gaming has opened up avenues of creativity that no other industry can boast. Artists have a new avenue to be creative on, writers, directors,animators, etc. It should show you how much gaming means that music, movies, and tv play into it.

I play games all day when i don’t have other stuff to get done yes. I play games when i do my homework, when i research stuff for papers, etc. I personally play to take up elementary education and plan to include gaming in to my curriculum.

For some people playing games is the way they communicate with other people. I know some people that if they where to try to interact in public they would get ridiculed because of the way they look, because of disabilities and other health disorders that might make them un-viewable to the public. Albinos, vitiligo, cancer patients, chronic obesity, etc Lets just face it, its a cruel world out here and for them its the only way they can interact with people without them judging them for how they look. So they get to communicate with others, make friends, and have fun without exposing themselves. Others just have social interaction problems, its easier for them to talk online through a character then it is for them to be in person talking to someone.
I did research paper on product placement adds and found that in allot of game magazines there is a ad for the military. The military does try ever means it can to recruit people to join. Lot of those means i don’t support like going to high schools and recruiting teenagers right when they turn 18 without giving them a chance to experience the world yet. See to a 18 year old they don’t look at the consequences of their actions they just act so they don’t really look at it like hey you could be in war. Then you got kids in video games that think sniping and the stuff they do in games is cool so there is another opportunity to recruit. So out of all the things jack thompson does and says this is the only one that i can say he as a valid point on.
I guess your right and I guess you can constantly play games as long as you don’t over eat while doing it as it’s hazardas to your health.
yea and that same aspect can be applied to music, television, reading etc, gaming itself isn’t hazardous its what you do and don’t do out side of gaming and other forms of entertainment that can be hazardous to your health.
i got this one dude on my friends list that he loves sniping in video games and now i look on there and he is talking about he is joining the army reserves and taking sniping school. I just hope he is doing it cause its something he really wants to do and not just because he thinks he can do it in real life cause he is good at it in a video game. So thats another aspect you can look at are video games recruitment tools for the military? could be on purpose or not on purpose?
Oh man, He want’s to join the army after playing a game?Well he’s in for one hell of a surprise.Gaming and real life is completely different.I hope he doesn’t think they are even close to the same.Ex-It will be very hard to shoot an assault rifle because the recoil will knock you on your feet and you won’t be able to aim worth shit and you will have to think that you are actually shooting a real person and live with that all your life.

If it seemed like I was bashing Sega then I apologize.I was only saying that I don’t believe Sega will do very well if they make another console due to money issues and I will take back what I said about no big deal if gaming disappears because Iv noticed that most of what I do is game related.I look for new info on gaming, play most of the games out there, AAA or not, it doesn’t matter to me.I even look at the review of a game that I have previously bought and played to death just to see the reviewers opinion of it. Half of the time I disagree with something they said about the game anyway.

Id say at least 75% of the time when I’m not at work I’m gaming or looking for info on gaming so ya it does play a big part of peoples lives.I remember 10 years ago I also didn’t care as much about gaming as I do now.I rarely went on other sites looking for info or even cared that much about other developers.
