After listening to this interview that 1up did to John Carmack I think that the 360 can do better graphics than PS3. Also almost every game that comes out on PS3 and 360 looks better on 360.

*please read me* I got a couple issues *to keep post short, I won’t get too detailed*
First of all, great show. (someone pm me the time listing for the podcast). Here are my issues though.
Yes,PS3 is better (off it’s gaming merits alone, especially considering everything outside of gaming). I am not a fanboy, though I do have a little crush on Sony, as well as, a dislike for the MS. Let me tell you why though.
The main/most important reason for this is (concerning ps3 and 360), bluray. Minus the fact that it is the standard hd medium format, but the disc space allows for bigger and better games. And actually MS has held back “next gen” due using dvd. If MS had used anything but dvd, we (all gamers) would be experiencing a better gen (lazy devs play a huge part too).
Another thing is (desprite, devs implementations)motion sensing. Even if motion sensing was only going to used for steering, it still opens up so many possibilities. For instance, (devs get on the ball) if motion sensing was the standard steering in a game, it would free up the analog sticks for something else (can you say dual welding separate aiming driveby).
Another thing is, no charge to play online. MS are b**ches for charging xbots to have essentially the same online experience as psn gamers, considering most games have and will be multiplatform games, and especially since xbox live (despite the fee)has ads (that is a huge slap in the face). That like paying for cable and seeing a commercial during a movie you paid for.
I could keep going but my point is made.
The main thing is if we let bs, such as the dvd thing slide, we will never get true next gen gaming.

Okay been listening to this podcast it’s great for one guys. You need to let me get in on some of this. One thing i have to say is that is referring to fanboyism. It’s just stupid arguing honestly. I have a ps3 and love Gears of War. But the reason why you should care about worldwide sales affects gamers alot. Developers look at that to determine which consoles will be there lead platform or which console that they’re going to develop for exclusively. Final Fantasy 13 is a prime example. Square Enix wants to make money as most companies do, 360 has more consoles sold in Europe and America. So that’s why the game will me multiplatfrom in those regoins. You could argue and say well then why wont the make it for the wii? It does a third party absolutely no good to make a game for the wii. THey just don’t sell on the console because their utilization of the periphials are average at best. The lead platform last year was ps2 for EA. Hmmmm no surprise because it dominated last years sells.

All great games on the 360 that’s were exclusive uses the unreal engine 3. Except Halo3 but it’s reputation contributed to it’s sales. Graphically it was very underwhelming. You can only optimize the Unreal Engine 3 so much. This is where the 360 stops graphically.
Maybe Torrence, HipHOp and the crew knew a title like this would spark up lots of attention on n4g and they did it on purpose to get all you/me in discussion
Why does it matter what system is better?
Last time I checked, people bought a system because it has games that they want to play.
I’m sure if the ps3 wasn’t better than the 360, fans of metal gear solid would still buy the system just to play the game.same goes for halo fans.They would buy a 360 just to play halo 3.

I love how you say they don’t fix it but they extend the warranty so you can send it in to get if fixed for free.
Last gen when ps2 had the disk read failure that nobody wanted to admit to, sony wouldnt admit to it and wouldnt fix the problem. It took a class action lawsuit for them to fix the problem and then if you were a user that didnt have their receipt you where basically screwed. so sony fucks up just like microsoft did but microsoft did something about it unlike sony That statement is pure bullshit
