REVIEW: Too Human

It’s been quite a while that a game has become such an object of scrutiny as Too Human. Sure, there are always debates about big releases like Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA 4, and on and on. However, those debates are somewhat even between the sides. Too Human, though, has been dumped on by nearly everyone, it seems, well before it came out. Ten years (or was it actually four?) in the making, Xbox 360 exclusivity, and one aggressively involved development team President later, can Too Human manage to climb out of it’s pre-made grave? Sony to charge monthly/yearly fee for MMO MAG?

Today I received a survey from Sony Playstation Underground and it seemed to be related MAG. The survey asked at least 15 questions related to Payment plans for the game.  Seems Sony’s plan is to charge a yearly or monthly fee, while also one time fees for content downloads. It also mentioned hosting partners being EA, Sony, and Activision.  So turns out not all games on PSN are going to be free after all.  I wish I would have taken some screen captures of this email.  Playstation Underground members check your email for a letter called “Short Survey. Big New Game.”   More info from the email below. Stay tuned for more details.

UPDATE:     Looks as if other Playstation Underground members have received this same survey. Many discussion boards around the net are buzzing about this confirming that others have received the survey.  If any of you have this survey sitting in your inbox and haven’t completed it yet, please send some screenshots to us here at thebigbag.com and we will post them.

Review: Warriors Orochi 2

Cutting down your foes with spear, sword or scythe, Warriors Orochi 2 delivers you more warriors and mayhem. New and exciting features added for more replay value will have you glued to the screen, plus a new force you can choose from is pretty sweet as well. Does this game stand up to the task of making you spend hours on end leveling up all your warriors and obtaining their weapons like the others had done?

360 RROD Little Big Planet Level Appears

I was testing out some custom levels last night and ran into this 360 themed one.  I cracked up when I got to the end.  I’m still experimenting myself and should be able to have a level up by Monday.  Enjoy!

The Next Generation Starts When 3rd Party Devs Start Fully Utilizing The PS3

“Sony says the next generation starts when they say so – bullshit!” – Mark Rein

Yep, Sony made some big claims a few years ago. They told us every game would be 1080p and 120fps. Kutaragi referenced “4d” when speaking about the system. The fact that they said the next generation will start when they say so sent many fanboys on both sides of the fence into a fire. Has Sony delivered on their promises? For the most part yes, but what about the frequent claims that the 360 hardware is holding PS3 development back? Read the rest of this entry »

Warzone #16 – Do PS3 Games Really Give You More Because Of Blu-Ray?

This show got pretty heated during the last 30 minutes. Hiphopgamer argued that Blu-Ray makes games bigger and better and I argued that the number one PS3 game, MGS4, can be completed in less than 10hrs and it’s a 50gb game. It went on and on til the end of the show. Watch the Live Blog while you are listening to see some of the points our readers touched on. Also on the show:

- 360 Shakes up Japan. Can they continue?
- Forced Unleashed is getting panned by most reviewers. We talk about why it’s a love it or hate it game.
- We discuss why retro-gaming is still fun and still worth spending money on.
- Goodfellajay Diss.
- Element X, racist, bigot, I don’t know you make the call.
- Is Little Big Planet Toy Story quality?
- We question GTAV’s exclusivity considering there will be a new Xbox when they start working on it.
- And much much more…

Capcom Confirms Mega Man 9 Release Dates

Mega Man 9 is slated for a time exclusive release schedule. Wii gets it first, then PSN and last but not least, Xbox Live Arcade. Here is the schedule:

Wii Ware – September 22, 2008
PSN – September 25, 2008
XBLA – October 1, 2008

Looks like Nintendo and Sony are finally buying some timed exclusivity rights. We’ll have a review of this game in the very near future.
