Warzone Recorded Live This Friday

We are experimenting with recording the Warzone live this friday. This means you’ll be able to listen to the show as we record it, chime in with chats and even pop on the show and get in a heated debate with us. Hopefully this will all work out without a hitch.

You need the latest version of Skype. After installing it, go to this address on Friday at 8:30pm PST and join the show: The Warzone

Let’s try and get as many people involved as possible. If this works out, this is how we will be recording every week.

See you Friday!

It’s been getting fair ratings and Playstation fanboys are having a field day. It seems that there is a bitter taste left in their mouths from Xbox fanboys bashing Haze to death. The worst part of all of this madness is reading that people are now waiting for bargain bin copies of the game because of the review scores they are seeing. Read the rest of this entry »

REVIEW: Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit

I’mma chargin’ my Kamehameha! Directly at this sorry attempt of a Dragon Ball Z game! First, there’s no need to question my loyalty to the Dragon Ball/Z/GT series. At all. Second, as the style, or focus, of the anime should always fit the game, this one tries so hard. Yet it fails to deliver on both ends. Read the rest of this entry »

Major Nelson in Bionic Commando: Rearmed

In a podcast interview this week, Capcom revealed that they have included Xbox Live’s Major Nelson in the Xbox 360 version of Bionic Commando: Rearmed. He can be found in one of the Challenge Stages. Gamers who get to the stage will be able to view an 8-bit version of Major as well as a special message from him. The image below is not of Major Nelson. It’s some other important historical figure.

1v1#10 with Drew Koehler (Hardcore Christian Gamer site/podcast)

This week, Jon and Lee have a highly intriguing conversation with Drew Koehler of the Hardcore Christian Gamer site and podcast and discuss morality in gaming. After sharing what games he has been playing, Drew explains how Christians can reconcile playing games that include sex and violence (e.g. Assassin’s Creed, GTA IV, Mass Effect). He answers whether Christians are missing out on the experience that game developers intended and closes by sharing about the one game he chose not to play and the one game he should not have played. Proof of which console reigns supreme? ;)

A Gamestop store here in San Diego was robbed today.  A robber flashed his gun in the store and asked for a console and two games.  This guy could have taken anything in the store he wanted, only if we knew the games he took!

Sega’s Secret Archive at Sega of America… OMFG.

Ok, this just made my day. Maybe my whole week.  Someone posted pictures on Flikr of a room at Sega of America.  This room is like a museum, every thing Sega has ever made is in this archive. Also pictures of desks, Screenshots, and other various awesomeness from inside Sega’s Corporate offices!  Check out these photos, I can almost hear the sound my Master System made when i hit the power button.   SEEEEGGGGGA!!

Edit:   Wow this flikr page has LOTS of gems in it.  It has screenshots from games at E3 08, Sonic Unleashed Stormrise and many others.  Looking through this 60 page photobook is worth your time.
