@DRAKOL

DAMN RIGHT.

That's why God of war is my favorite game.The epic story of betrayal and revenge.Hell, even comparing it to a next gen title like metal gear solid or heavenly sword i like god of war better and that's a last gen game.it's probably going to be my favorite game until god of war 3 comes out.for me it's the best storyline ever made.u are so drawn into the character and his hatred for the gods.

@candid anthony

gaming has changed man.before games were smaller and didn't have a storyline or cutscenes.now would you want to play gta 4 and die 10 hours into it and have to start over?heres a better example, say your halfway into rambo and u go to sleep and shut it off.the next day do u want to start over from the beginning or the nearest chapter?much like a checkpoint.gaming is becoming much like movies now because u actually care about the character and the story.i would get so pissed off if i beat say 2 boss battles and was 3 or 4 hours into a game and then died and would have to start over from the beginning.that's my take on it.

Companies wouldn't dare make a challenging game anymore.

Games back in the day, you had a set amount of lives, and when they were lost you started over. No matter how long it took you to get to where you were, you had to start from the begining. Then came continues, which were alright but you would be limited to like 2 or 3 of those.

Now, you die and begin where you left off.

Thats what i miss about gaming is the challenge of it all. When you beat a game back then you felt like you did something like you really accomplished something. Now when you beat a game its ok i beat that now on to the next thing. Like its a chore. This generation of gamers to me in my personal opinion are spoiled and aren't really about gaming but about whats in. Thats why we have an abundance of fanboys because every one has to feel like what system they have is the best. Gaming in the past wasn't the thing to do it wasn't popular it was something you did if you enjoyed it regardless of what other people thought about you. Now that gaming is popular and has gone mainstream its lost some of the value it once had, just like how i feel hiphop has.

Nice! I really enjoyed this.

Also, has anyone notived that the challenge level of games has gone down over the past 10 years? I remember old nintendo games that were really hard, now you often never have a game that can stump you for awhile. People just give a fuck about graphics now and get mad if they get to a part they have difficulty with.

Gaming has chanced in lots of way and not all of it was for the better.
