Sega’s Secret Archive at Sega of America… OMFG.
by Candid Anthony
Ok, this just made my day. Maybe my whole week. Someone posted pictures on Flikr of a room at Sega of America. This room is like a museum, every thing Sega has ever made is in this archive. Also pictures of desks, Screenshots, and other various awesomeness from inside Sega’s Corporate offices! Check out these photos, I can almost hear the sound my Master System made when i hit the power button. SEEEEGGGGGA!!
Edit: Wow this flikr page has LOTS of gems in it. It has screenshots from games at E3 08, Sonic Unleashed Stormrise and many others. Looking through this 60 page photobook is worth your time.

This really makes me wish I could break out my Dreamcast and play Phantasy Star online… So sad.
how many of those game do you think are actually truly great games though?
not GOOD but GREAT.
You can say that for just about ANY company.
Try Atari. Namco. EA
If companies only released GREAT games they would release a game once or twice a decade. Fact is SEGA has made many great games in my opinion.
You can go WAY back too.
Sega Master System:
Alex Kidd In Miracle World
Pro Wrestling
Kung Fu Kid
Space Harrier
Wonder Boy
Phantasy Star
I mean we could go awhile, this was a different generation of gaming.
Nights, Phantasy Star Online, Crazy Taxi
Are you crazy? Sega is not Rockstar in that they can release 1 game every 4 years and make 300 million then start developing a new one. This is a different time. ALSO notice the fact that i said they MADE great games. I will be the first to admit they suck now. I wish they would fucking get to work.
man Sega NEEDS to get their act together and start putting out same good games or at least hire some people that are veterans and know what they are doing.again OR try to get some of the people that used to work at Sega back and for a decent budget game they might be able to get their name back and people will start believing in them again.
That’d be Sega of Japan you’d need to talk to about that =P
Sega of America don’t have much say in what goes on in the games.
Ever tried negotiating with a Japanese businessman before? lol
