great show hiphop and torrence.i can’t believe ign gave fear 5.5 for graphics.when i played it the graphics looked great and how good the a.i is.when u have a flashlight shining through the door the enemies can see it from the other side through the bottom of the door, it’s awesome.i don’t EVER go to ign because all they know how to do is bash the ps3 games.example they were talking shit about turok and there wasn’t anything wrong with it.fight night round 3 turned out better on ps3 with the sweat on the fighters and being able to fight the whole fight in first person view ang the 360 verson still got a higher score.devil may cry 4 was SLIGHTLY better on ps3 and they got the same score, but when a 360 game is SLIGHTLY better than 360 it always gets a higher score.
Yo that was another great warzone by you two and I truely enjoyed it! Littlebigplanet is a game I truely can’t wait for and if I sat here describing the whole way I want to go about it, it would take up the whole first page, lol.
Now onto this whole True gamer thing. Being a fanboy is really stupid because why fight and argue about what console you have or don’t have? We should be here discussing great and bad things about a game and not going to war over consoles every single day in forums. Me personally I try to avoid wars as much as possible, but its like what Tor said. Unless somebody says something completely stupid and irrelevant, then I can’t help but say something back. I mean truely, what kind of enjoyment do you fanboys(if yall are reading this) get out of bashing consoles every single day? All of that energy you fanboys put into bashing consoles(or exclusives) could be time spent playing great games. This shit has got to move on because believe it or not there’s alot of other shit going on in the gaming industry right now, that could possibly put a block on what type of games we like playing. I mean you got people like Jack Thompson and reporters from fox news trying to find some dumbass excuse to prevent us from playing great games. I don’t know about most of you fanboys, but instead of arguing about what platform or exclusive is better, you need to be a voice out of many gamers out there to state why games aren’t the cause for deaths or a kid bringing a gun to school. Its just like what hiphopgamer said in his last show, we need to unite. I’ve stated many times before on here that I only own a PS3, but you don’t see me going place to place to bash the 360 or its exclusive line up. You wanna know why? Because I truly love games! Hell, I wish had a 360 right now to set next to my PS3 and enjoy its exclusives as much as I enjoy PS3s exclusives. That time is coming soon for me, hopefully lol. But yeah take note and stand up because I want to be able to enjoy the GTAs, Mass Effects, Gears of Wars, and Killzones without it being the first thing getting blamed for deaths and school killings.
Now on to IGN(or gaming sites in general). I know alot of people heard the saying, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.” Take a good look at that statement, because thats exactly what reviews are. They don’t tell you not to purchase a game or go out and get this NOW! Its just their take on what games that come out. If anyone goes out and buys a game because it got rated a 10(or 9), then you’re dumb. Because its like you’re letting them choose what games to buy or not buy. I’m going to use a great example right now. Now Tor, I know you really enjoy playing Test Drive Unlimited and in someways think its better than Burnout Paradise. To Tor its a better game, but to some websites like IGN(who gave it 8.0) think its not. See what I did there? Im going to use another one. I LOVE football games, no matter how repetitive or the same it is every year. But at one point(during the 05 season) I liked the 2K series alot more than Madden and yet the gaming sites dont agree with that either. So in the end, take some of their advise but don’t consider it. The same goes for all of those pointless(but dumb) video comparisons, trust me it doesn’t mean a thing. Its all opinions, just like everyone states day in and out about games.
I know that was long, but I just had to let it be heard. I can’t wait for the next show because you guys keep pumping out great topics to discuss. The more you do that, the longer my comments are going to be lol. Wait a minute I forgot something. What’s the deal Tor? No BDP? lol. I was hoping to hear some at the end of the show lol. man i like what u said but im afraid im gonna have to disagree on your review comment.sometimes ign or gametrailers are PAID to give a good or bad review.1 example is KANE AND LYNCH.everone gave it a high score but i can’t remamber i think it was gamepro or something but the reviewer got fired for giving it a 6 out of 10.they were paid to give that game a good review and if they don’t they get FIRED.

Dog I understand exactly where you’re coming from, but you got what I said wrong. My message was basically saying don’t listen to the reviews and don’t judge your purchase off of reviews. If you buy a game, buy it because you like it. IMO, thats why we are given demos. So we can determine if we want to buy it or not. But sure that might not have been the case with games such as Halo 3, MGS4, or even GTA IV because those games had previous installments that were good to some people and we knew exactly what we were getting. I might read reviews, but I NEVER base my purchase of a game off of them. When you think about it, reviews are another topic that fanboys rage wars about everyday. So to me, they are kinda pointless but useful in some situations. Oh yeah, the guy that reviewed Kane and Lynch from Gamespot was Jeff Gerstmann. He is the founder of Giant Bomb.

I believe since the release of demos on live and psn and the fact that every one has access to them unlike years before where you had to either know somebody or purchase certain magazines i dont think any one should base their purchase on reviews. I personally use reviews to get info on the game and its content and i use demos to see if i want or even like the game play or aspect of the game.

alright man that makes sense.i never base my purchase on a review.when i buy a game about a week later i look at the video review of it and i ALWAYS disagree with something the reviewer said, but i still NEVER go to IGN, gamepro is pretty bad for that to but at least not as bad as IGN.if they gave god of war a 7 or 8 because they hate action games i would still go out and buy it and i know it would never get that kind of rating.why watch or read a review of a game when u can play the demo yourself.that makes me kind of think how much longer there will be reviews of games when people will start to just play the demo.i think reviews hurt the sale of a game that why they were asked not to review mgs4.i think mgs4 deserves a 9.3 not a 10 because the gameplay is great but the only small problem is the installs.i would of rather waited 30 minutes for the whole game to install then no problems for the rest of the game.im so sick of people complaining obout the cutscenes it’s meant for the fans and the fans like to watch them because it gives u more info about the series and they did that to try to wrap up the story.

I agree with you all the way. In my honest opinion, I think no game deserves a 10. I don’t think we will ever see a perfect game, because every game has a flaw. But yeah I like those sites because some of them feed me information, but I dislike reviews in general. Unless its going to tell me what features are in a game, but thats it.

same thing goes for games.yah and when i do go to a review site it’s also to get information but i but i still never go to ign.the only way i would go there is if they would start to clean up their act with the hate towards the ps3.

Great warzone as always! Sucks that the rating on the graphics part can lower the overall score for a good game. If the gameplay is good, then that’s all it matters. Developers would have to sacrifice the quality of the gameplay to have some bomb ass graphics and I wouldn’t want the quality of gameplay to be sacrificed because of pretty flowers or pretty environments. When you play the game and look at the pretty flowers or pretty environments….Your pretty much going to get killed because of a noob you truly are….Those pretty graphics just wear off after 1 week of playing it and the main focus becomes the gameplay (it should always be the main focus…sometimes pple would be blind and say that the gameplay is good because the graphics are good)…and you should see more of whats around or whos attacking and where they are instead of looking at how pretty the environment looks…How were those games in the past so fun? They were more focused on the gameplay then they were with the graphics…and never trust the reviewers…Go with what you like or what interest you just by looking at videos or information about the game or rent it (but if you dislike renting games, play the demo…and if their is no demo for the game…then dig for some information about the game and see if it’s really the game you really want)..
The Core Arcade 360 sells well because i’ve known a few people who got original 360’s and they just go out and get the cheapest 360 and put their older hard-drive in it
Also arcades selling well because they supposed to have BenQ drives and people mod them or something like that
i meant they had problems with their 360’s and they broke down and warranty gone so they just buy cheap 360 arcades to replace

But yeah man that is truely sad about bernie man, I made a dedication photo to him. He was truly a great entertainer and filled rooms and shows with his talent, he will be missed 4real.
Great show again, and i’m glad to see you guys focusing on true gamers. Everyone should just begin to shun the fanboys. It’s true what you said torrence. There is no point trying to reason with a fanboy they don’t listen to anything you say. I had one tell me that i’m not a gamer once because i had just purchased Ratchet and clank FToD and Mass Effect. The stupidity is just amazing. On to the little big planet theme for today’s episode. I wasn’t hyped about Little Big Planet until E3. Watching the sales presentation that was done using Little Big Planet impressed me so much. I’m pretty sure i’ll be picking it up on launch day. Gamers rejoice what SONY and Microsoft has coming is so awesome. I’ll catch you guys next week, i’m off to play Lost Odyssey!
i don’t know about little big planet.it still seems like a kids game to me.it’s cool that you can create your own levels though.
