The world of gaming is beginning to evolve. With the increased popularity of online gaming, there have been many predictions the one day online gaming will exceed offline console and pc gaming in terms of quality and popularity. No longer is online gaming confined to blackjack or poker. Most of the world's best games can be played online!

just because the 360 is easier to develop for doesn’t mean it’s better. if u look at the ps3 exclusives to 360 exclusives the ps3 one have more potential and look better like resistance 2 with a 300 foot boss battle, 60 players online, 8 players offline and losts of enemies and huge environments, or killzone 2’s human-like ai, killer graphics and great physics , or motorstorm 2’s open world racing with realistic dirt patterns.

Your right, just because it is easier doesnt mean the hardware is better.

BUT. The people that are coding these games grew up the last 25 years coding on hardware similar to the 360, meaning it is their bread and butter. So they know what they are doing, and if there is a learning curve it is very slight from the PC world.

Listen to this upcoming Warzone episode. We touch on this subject bigtime, I think its one of the best warzones yet so stay tuned.

    @candid anthony

there was also a big change in development when ps1 came out because they had to move from 2d to 3d and it was hard at the start but it just got easier and easier, just look at resistance 1 to resistance 2, a huge change in graphics, online, scale, boss battles and more.technology isn’t going to advance and we won’t see better games if developers are just going to stick to a standard dvd9 disk.i’m sure u wan’t big games with tons of other crap in the games or do u wan’t developers to hold back on the games just like final fantasy 13?i wish square enix put all their potential in the ps3 version and all of the 360’s potential in that version.now that that i know they are holding back im not as excited for the game, im still hyped up for it but not as much now.(ex)metal gear solid 4 with 50 gigs of space or would u wan’t to play mgs4 with only 7 gigs?that’s why blu ray is great.

  • Candid Anthony says:

    @ Kratos.

Sigh… FF13 will be released on several discs. Also 360 users will have the option to install the game. Space is not going to be an issue. Period. We tackle this one on warzone as well. People say, well damn companies will have to compress textures to fit games on the dvd, its not gonna look as good. Not true, the 360 is addressing this issue. These files may be compressed on the disc, but when installed they are decompressed unto the hard drive at their original state.

Blueray is feature, a very good feature. But it is not a necessity, even the PS3 must install the games to hard disk and memory before accessing because the bluray drive is way too slow to load direct from disc. This argument should have been squashed weeks ago at E3.

  • Kratos7445 says:

it’s not about space for ff13, sqaure enix talks about the 360’s limitations and that they are “cutting corners” to make sure both systems are equall. dont believe me?go to n4g.com.that’s what i meant about final fantasy 13.that’s also why ps3 exclusives are so important, because they put all of their effort into into it and don’t have to hold back because of 360 and that’s why ps3 games sell 45% better than multiplatform games.

You do know Microsoft started a year before the PS3 right? Meaning the hardware naturally would not be as current.

So saying that, I’m sure MS is going to release a new Xbox before the PS4. So this process is going to start all over again.

People are used to a market dominated by one console. In the PC gaming world, you buy a game and your enjoyment is based upon the quality of your PC, (video card, cpu, memory, ect.).

So the fact that we have two consoles a year spread apart is the only reason for this problem. You are upset about an issue that cannot be avoided.

  • Kratos7445 says:

u do know that sony can last 10 years right?that time frame will make ps3 development easy and the ps4 will probably use the same type of arcitecture and it will be smooth sailing and with microsoft releasing the 720 they better make it worth it because with microsofts stragedy it’s a waste of money buying new game systems every couple of years, they should spread it out more like sony does.at this rate in 10 years well have 9 consoles out, 3 of each competitor.doesn’t that seem like a lit?

  • Candid Anthony says:

Sony can last 10 years… Unless someone else makes the PS3 obsolete. It could happen, might not but it could.

That’s the great thing about competition, competitors force innovation.

  • Kratos7445 says:

really, ps3 obsolite?last time i checked the ps2 was still selling like hotcakes and what’s it been?8 or 9 years?

  • mistertwoturbo says:

Kratos… Just open your mind up a little bit. Everything Candid has been saying “Makes sense.”

So if it doesn’t “Make sense” to you. Then I don’t know.
