Too Human Demo Available on Xbox Live
Major slipped this one by early this morning (2 AM). He and E were talking about a demo that would release this week and this could not make Xbots any happier. For those of you who are not flying into LA today, go and check this demo out.
Step into the world of “Too Human,” the third person epic action game from renowned Canadian developer Silicon Knights. As the cybernetic god Baldur, players are thrust into the midst of an ongoing battle that threatens the existence of mankind. In “Too Human” an ancient machine presence has forced the god’s hand. Baldur is charged with defending humanity from an onslaught of monstrous war machines bent on the eradication of human life.
Duke Next Summer . . . Sort Of
Yes, Duke Nukem is releasing next summer . . . but for the handheld. After seeing the trailer earlier this year, perhaps many of you have been waiting for the next gen version, but no official word on that title as yet. It’s E3 Week, though, so who knows? It’s not clear whether the game will release for DS or PSP or both, but it would probably be safe to assume that it will be releasing on both . . . maybe even for the rumored MS handheld. UPDATED with additional info after the break. It is confirmed that it is coming out for both handheld platforms. Read the rest of this entry »

Xbox 360 Price Drop 100% Official
Today marks the day of the Xbox 360 $50 price drop. You can see my images here taken from Sunday’s paper. These ads represent Best Buy and Circuit City. It’s a great day for those who were waiting for the right time to buy a 360. I’m just hoping the Elite drops so I can pick one up and pass my Premium down to my son. There is supposed to be a new SKU available soon with 60gb. I’m thinking they won’t drop the new SKU until the 20gb units sell out. I would suggest they bundle 20gb drives with those Arcade systems and totally get rid of that POS SKU. I don’t know why they ever did the whole Core/Arcade thing, but it’s a waste of any true gamer’s time and money.

Nyko to Showcase Three New Peripherals for Next Gen Consoles at E3
Nyko has been one of those peripheral companies that has endured the test of time. They have consistently provided stuff that gamers want and usually at an affordable price. Even back in the vgt.com days, these guys were always providing items for the team to review. I wonder if they will bring back Miss Nyko this year. I always got a kickout of the beauty pageant dress and sash thing they used to do. Read the rest of this entry »

Review: BASARA X Cross
From a 3D “Dynasty-Warrior” type of game play to a fighting game, this one makes a safe leap of faith. This sort of thing doesn’t happen all too often, in fact, this is really rare. If you’ve been up to date with the BASARA series, then you know that it’s a 3D game with the same kind of function Dynasty/Samurai Warriors have. Kill untold amounts of troops, gain power ups, defeat the uber general, and finally obtain those awesome weapons. Now Ar System Works have taken the risk of bringing it into the realm of 2D fighting. So the question is, did they triumph or fail? Read the rest of this entry »
