LOL unbelievable that you could consider the problem with 2.4 to be due to compatibility with different sized hard disks that is ridiculous.
The in game xmb should allow you to play music while playing the game regardless of the game being programmed to use the functionality. On 360 the media player is in the dashboard running in the background. Has nothing to do with game functionality. Its as if you were playing a PC game and had media player running in the background playing a playlist.
I was really excited about downloading and playing around with 2.40, I was out of town on business and got in after it was pulled. You got to admit even if a PS3 fanboy that it is pretty sad that Sony obviously didn’t QA their software well enough, and let the customers QA the update for them.
Another possible thought on what could be causing problems for 2.4. Think about this, say you were a developer and you are coding a game to run on the PS3 pre in game XMB. Basically you have written the code to this game to run on this platform without this in game XMB taking up processor power and memory. Not to mention various other conflicts that could be going on. If this is the case, which im sure it most likely is especially for the lockup problems, then I think its a considerable fuck up on Sony’s part by not having this option available from day 1, especially for the developers.
I think people should also take notice here, Microsoft obviously made some hardware fuck ups with the 360, but they are a software company and they made a solid operating system for the 360, and from what ive seen have not had to pull any updates yet.
PS3 Hardware is obviously superior but Sony could be lacking in the software department experience wise. Again, just brainstorming here, not bashing or fanboying. Although im sure you fanboy cocksuckers will be on this post with pitchforks and torches soon.
I finally pulled the plug and hopped on the new Warzone add on packs, $11.00 for omega dawn and the booster add-on was too much for me to pass up, great price, and well worth the money. I love this game, cant wait to fly around and blast the fuck out of people while listening to my own MP3 library.
Shenmue 3? Awesome! Did you guys see that they are releasing Chrono Trigger for DS? Such a great game.
I miss Sega. Make me proud this E3 Sega. Sega could make a huge splash by making a new Nights game. That would be fucking awesome.

@ Kratos3452, I noticed when adding funds to my account the other night to buy the Warhawk add-ons that there is an option to enter a Playstation Network card number. So I think they will be selling them soon if they have no already started.
Sega needs to do another shinobi and capcom need to do a 3-D strider.
I have 2 say great show, I am especially hyped up for E3 in general and Im hyped for the full bitbag coverage! As far as 2.4 goes, I was really hyped about it when the rumors were coming out and everything. Im basically talking about weeks before it released. Because there was so much speculation about what was going 2 be in it and I was really excited. When Sony officially came out and released the full details on it(which was Monday morning for me), I knew what to expect and I knew what was coming. So when it finally became available I wasn’t disappointed, because I knew what to do and how to do it. As a matter of fact, hip hop was the first person I wrote when I got it and he was just as excited, lol. I know its going to take awhile for PSN to equal Xbox Live. Xbox Live really set a standard with online gaming and I commend them for that.
Now you guys wanna talk about throwbacks being made into next-gen glory? I got one for ya, now I don’t remember too much about the games that came out during the Genesis and Nintendo(and SNES) era. But I can tell you one game I would like to see come back, another Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver game. Those games were phenomenal!!!
As far as sega goes, I gotta go with Anthony on this one, I would like Nights on the next-gen platforms. I know this might sound crazy, but I have never played a Shenmue game. I heard the game was great from alot of friends that owned a dreamcast and also I read alot of reviews that said the game was crazy. Once again Hip Hop and Torrence, great show! Im lovin the fact you guys are living up to promises of making the entire month of July Pro-E3! So good luck to you guys and I hope y’all have a great time! Peace!
Yo what up torrence what up hip hop, good show keep up the good work. I have to agree with candid on the points he made about the 2.0 update and i have something to add my self.
I was highly disappointed in the update and i dont remember in any of those vids that sony released saying that developers would have to implement the trophies and ingame music. Even if they did say it i still think its BS!
I understand 3rd party developers having to put out patches for there games to implement trophies and in game music but you would think that before sony would release 2.4 that they would at least have there 1st party games up and ready for the update. To release this update and only have 1 game support it at launch is kinda stupid. Then a few days later have the developers of ratchet and resistance which are 1st party games to come out and say they arent going to support it is a bunch of BS to me. Dont get me wrong i like the update but the only thing that got me to like it after the BS they pulled was the fact that i can message in game and i can change headsets without having to leave a game. Other than that this update to me was horse shit and shouldnt have been released till they were better prepared.

I was one of the unlucky few to have their ps3 hard drive fuck up with the update. But I don’t think the Updates was the only cause of my hard drive failure. When I too out my hard drive to reformat it, I notice that their was burn marks on the back. So I had to get a new Hard Drive (250GB) and install it. This new hard drive consume less power, and I have notice that my ps3 run a lot quieter, and they fan don’t come on as often.
But it is all good, I was mean to update my hard drive to a 250GB because the 60GB was about to be fulled up with all the games data, video, images, and demo that was on it.
On the whole trophies thing. I am currently addicted to trophies. Well it not so much as the trophies themselves, but the whole leveling up thing. I am a fucking big JRPG, and some western RPG like Fable, Mass Effect, and Fallout. So I fucking love leveling up. I currently have 13 or 14 trophies. No I didn’t buy Super Stardust for the trophies. I had the game since it came out on the PSN last year.
I was pissed off that Civilization and Call of Duty 4 will not have a trophy update, but I got over it.
Oh and I got one question. Can you guys try to release a MP3, or MP4 format for your podcast? I don’t have an Ipod (not planning to buy one either) so I cannot listen to it while I am offline. So I am stuck listen to it online.

Dude,, you can listen to the show on your ps3 too,,,thats what I do,, listening to Video game podcast isnt complete unless I listen to it through my Bose surround sound system. Just click on the mp3 link thats right under the play button, and pick your harddrive and then press start,, wha la! And you can save them too. Inst the ps3 DA BOMB?!

I thought about this today, how fucking awesome would it be if Sega announced Phantasy Star online for the PS3 and 360. Not just a re-release of the old version, but a whole new game. That was one of the best games I have ever played. I will always have fond memories of that one.
This is the type of shit Sega needs to start to do, release updated versions of your classics. We are all out here Sega waiting to give you our money, just fucking make something we want. You did it before it should not be too hard to get with it!

What about Gunstar Heroes? That was a pretty fun game back in 1997 on the Genesis.
Armada, and Skies of Arcadia are some of my fav classics I would love to see next gen. I know they arent that old but,, them games bring back memories when I was just in high school. Im 27 now so.
Some of my favorites are the mario bros and zelda cartoons. Captain nintendo was an every saturday morning ritual for me too. Gaming has been such a big part of my life, I guess thats where I get my big imagination from. Been gaming since I was old enough to hold my 2600 atari controller.

i dont think sega has made a bit hit since they moved to only make games and anybody know when psn cards are coming out.
Sega’s problem right now is money, they need to fucking get it together and knock out some hits. EA really fucked them over.
