Night Cap 07/02/2008 12:27am - Downloading PS3 Firmware 2.40
by Torrence DavisI’ve had my PS3 on for an hour. I just looked and the update is ready. I’m downloading it right now. I’ll test out Heavenly Sword or something when it’s finished.

2.40 downloaded. Trying for a trophy in Heavenly Sword

No trophies in Heavenly Sword. Just did 4 updates to Pain. Trophies included.

the only game that supports trophies day 1 is Super Star Dust HD. no other game at the moment has trophies so wait for older games to get patched before you go trophy hunting. Uncharted and Burnout are 2 games that are locked in to get trophies soon.
I think Pain has trophies too. In fact, Pain already had trophies and now they have the 2.40 trophies. I just can’t unlock any cuz I’m at the point where it’s impossible.
Disappointed that SSHD has trophies from add-on content; No buy = no platinum. Also given Warhawk is stated to have trophies associated with each add-on, and you have to wonder if (at least in the short term) devs are going to use trophies as a way of “making” you buy add-on content.
Well at least for achievment/trophy whores, if you dont care then its no worries, but if you do you also better have bigger pockets.
Still the in-game XMB messages are good. Now we just need invites and chat…
damn everybody talks good about Heavenly Sword, im getting the fuckin game!
