One Response to “Insomniac Talks About The Big Move To North Carolina, Resistance 2 And The Pressure Of Releasing Against Gears Of War 2”

I’m in North Carolina and I’m looking forward to hearing more from Insomniac in my state. My hometown in N.C. is only about an hour and a half from where Insomniac plans to open up thier new studio.

Who knows, maybe Insomniac’s new studio will be a Sony 1st party publishing studio? The Insomniac company as a whole will most likely remain Independant because Ted Price stated that, but that doesn’t mean that their studio in N.C. can’t be a 1st party publishing studio that develops PSP, PS3, and PSN titles ONLY.

I honestly don’t think that Insomniac will make games for the Xbox 360 either. Insomniac reminds me of Bungie somewhat because Bungie said that they were just going to make games for Microsoft even though they are Independant now. Insomniac has ONLY made games for Sony and it will probably stay that way for now.

I’ve been a huge follower of Insomniac since the first Spyro The Dragon on the Playstation 1. Insomniac has a big enough Sony fanbase to continue making games Exclusively for Sony if they want to, but unless development costs skyrocket to the point where they can’t continue to be Independant and make games only for the Playstation consoles, I’m pretty sure Insomniac will be developing for Sony Exclusively.
