Halo 2 Lockout Is the Third Legendary Map
I made a mistake last week. When they said “next Tuesday,” they meant today (not April Fool’s Day). My bad. The third map of the Legendary Map pack has been revealed today and I almost wet my pants. Blackout (code name: Moonlight Sonata) is a remake of one of the most popular Halo 2 maps: Lockout (this is one of my personal favorites, actually). Although it looks like an oil rig at first (and apparently this was the original direction in which they were going), it is a UNSC research station set in the arctic. One of the major differences between this map and the original is the placement of equipment. I did not buy the Heroic Map pack, but I may go and pick this one up just for the sake of Lockout nostalgia. Were there enough parentheses in this post?
Rock Band on the Wii in June
This one’s for all of those gramps and grannies that have been waiting to stop bowling and get their rock on. Rock Band is coming for the Wii on June 22 (the day before my birthday) with five bonus songs. We will get pictures up ASAP, but they have revealed pictures of the drum set which is just a white version of the Xbox 360/PS3 version to match the Wii color scheme. It doesn’t look like you can stick a Wiimote in it, though. It will be the same price that it was for the other consoles ($169.99) and the other instruments will be available separately on the same day as well. No information is available regarding online modes, but we can probably except the same limited capability as with other Wii games. Read the rest of this entry »
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Gets Weezer And DJ Shadow
I think the coolest part of this news post is the fact that not only are we getting new American tracks, but we also get all the original Japanese music too. Just another reason to dig into your pockets for that $39. Here’s the full release from Sony:

Review: Singstar 90’s
I can honestly say that I’ve never been to a karaoke bar in my life. All of my singing has been done in the shower or the kitchen. Then Singstar comes along and changes everything for me. I now see why people go to karaoke bars and Singstar brings the whole experience home. Read the rest of this entry »
HD Subscription Base To Hit 71 Million By 2012
Yeah, HD is the new thing on everyone’s mind. It’s hit the networks, internet, gaming and plastic media like a storm. Too bad you can’t just purchase an HD only package from your cable provider. They want you to have basic and extended and digital before you can add HD to the mix. I call that milking the digital cash cow. It’s why I don’t pay for any TV services anymore. All the networks play their shows in HD for free on demand, on the internet. That’s enough of that…check out the release from SNL Kagan: Read the rest of this entry »

Latest Bungie Update Filled with Yumminess
As I said last week, Bungie will be providing information about the third map in the Legendary DLC next Tuesday (i.e. April Fool’s Day). Check out the latest update for a map that shows where all the weapons will be on Avalanche as well as a comparison with Sidewinder (from Halo: CE). Bungie also announced that the Heroic DLC map pack will be available for free tomorrow at 2 AM (that’s tonight, folks). Whoo hoo! They have made an intro video available for those who have not downloaded it yet. The second installment of MLG Top 10 Plays has been released at ESPN. If you didn’t catch the first one, it is a must-watch. Finally, latest podcast has been published and includes a few moments with Major Nelson.

Want To Get Better At Street Fighter 3
SF3 is still the pinnacle of the series IMHO. If you are a proud Dreamcast owner like myself, you’d be a fool not to own Street Fighter 3: Double Impact or 3rd Strike. If you are new to owning one of these great titles and want to freshen up on your skills, head over to this link and check out some of the videos and guides this guy has posted. I never knew a thing such as Kara throwing even existed!
