Tankpitstop, developed by N. van Staveren BV, is an automated refueling system. Passengers can drive up, pay and refuel their tanks without even stepping out of their car. It has a car recognition system which it uses to perfectly fill tanks. The system is in the Netherlands and will be put into operation at several Petrol stations in the second quarter of 2008. It can fuel 80 percent of the cars in the country.
