Microsoft Taking Care Of Its Gold Members After Last Weeks Live Outage
I got some info from my Microsoft contact after questioning whether or not Gold Members will get thrown a bone for all the downtime they had to sit through. While nothing has been officially announced, they have stated, “…we will definitely be doing something for our Gold members that werent able to get online over the last week.” Read the rest of this entry »
Ratatouille Hits Xbox Live Marketplace In HD

Yep, another HD hit has arrived on Xbox Live Marketplace courtesy of Disney. As you know, 3D animated films really show off well on your HD set. Nothing can match the direct high definition digital transfer of CG. Download, watch and enjoy!
Why Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4 Should Be Multiplatform

So the wishful thinking begins again. You don’t have to wonder why so many Xbox 360 gamers would love Metal Gear Solid 4 to go multiplatform. The series has had a huge success on many platforms from MSX to the Xbox. Konami has made millions of dollars on this franchise but for some bullheaded reason, will not go multiplatform with it’s latest triple A title. Is Hideo Kojima just a Sony fanboy in disguise? Which Console Won Christmas?
I made a prediction in an article back in October explaining my reasons why Playstation 3 will come in 3rd this holiday for sales. I stated 5 reasons to back my claims and now that Christmas is over, we can revisit the sales of December to see who came in first, second and third. Read the rest of this entry »
Review: Godzilla Unleashed
There are times when being a reviewer is painful. Godzilla: Unleashed is probably my most painful moment. Why? Why abuse the Godzilla license in such a way? I am, admittedly, not a big Godzilla fan, but I know enough about the series to realize such a game definitely does not do him justice. Read the rest of this entry »
Treemo Unveils Enhanced Publishing Platform For Sharing Content Across Web And Mobile Applications
Available today, the newest evolution of Treemo delivers social networking advocates, consumers and organizations alike, a richer publishing platform and set of media sharing tools (photo, video, audio, text) for sharing content across both web and mobile applications.
Users may now program a new Channel Player widget on their websites, blogs, MySpace pages, or integrate it as a Facebook application to allow for automatic publishing of media content uploaded from their mobile phones to Treemo.com. The new Treemo.com has drawn the attention of high profile musicians and organizations like Russell Simmons’ new non-profit, Diamond Empowerment Fund seeking to build niche social networking communities to connect in real-time with audiences and supporters. A Week In Fanboyism 12/23/2007
This week in fanboyism I looked at the HD format war. It’s getting hot and heavy. The Blu-Ray site got hacked, PS3 pundits are still claiming a Blu-Ray victory and HD-DVD is slowly chugging along like the little train that could. There were some really dumb comments and forum posts this week but there were also some good ones. Here’s my picks for the week: Read the rest of this entry »
Xbox Live Down?

I’ve been trying to login to Xbox Live for several hours. I cannot get in at all. Anyone out there experiencing this too? Well this proves to all the dumbasses that Microsoft DOES in fact control the Live servers. Peer to Peer connections are only done in multiplayer games. Once the handshake is done, the connection is dependent on the two consoles in question, but a Live connection is still there for obvious reasons. What I realized for the first time though, is that when Live is down, I can’t use a generic internet connection to multiplay. So even after paying $50, I can’t fall back on my Cox Cable connection to play Call Of Duty 4 with friends. Interesting.
Teens Jailed in “Mortal Kombat” Murder
Two Colorado teens are being held on charges of child abuse resulting in death. The teens, Heather Trujillo (16) and Lamar Roberts (17), stated that they were reenacting the popular fighting game “Mortal Kombat” while babysitting Trujillo’s younger sister. After rough housing with the girl, she apparently died later that evening at the hospital. Read the rest of this entry »
Review: Undertow (XBLA)
Chair Entertainment’s Undertow is an amazing little game. It’s not my favorite XBLA game ever, but it truly is something special. In a short download, a few megs, you’re getting a product that could totally have sold as a full-disk game in last generation – and been well-reviewed at that. This game isn’t for everyone, but right now it’s getting way too little attention, and in a just world that really ought to change.

Warner Home Video Also Attending Blu-Ray Conference At CES
You’ve already heard that Warner will be attending the HD-DVD conference at the CES in January. According to my source at Warner, they will also be attending a Blu-Ray conference. On top of that, they will be involved in the Digital Distribution conference that’s being held. Warner is getting their fingers into everything and is a saving grace in this stupid format war. Here’s a quote from my source: Read the rest of this entry »
Spongebob Squarepants Underpants Slam Hit’s XBLA 12/26/07
I’m a 37 year old man and I admit…I love Spongebob. I stayed far away from it during it’s climb to fame. I thought it was just another dumb kids show. One day my son was watching and I sat down with him. I was laughing harder than he was. There’s so much hidden adult humor in the show that I think all adults with a good sense of humor should watch it. Suffice to say, I can’t wait for this game to drop on Xbox Live Arcade. Here’s the full release: Read the rest of this entry »
