PSP Firmware 3.73 Released
Sony Computer Entertainment America today released the latest firmware update for PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) system, version 3.73. With this update, operation of the UMD™ (Universal Media Disc) drive has been improved to address cases in which the UMD drive occasionally suspends and fails to reload data. Updating the system software to version 3.73 will resolve this issue.

Writing A Game Review: The Other Side Of The Fence
So yeah, I’m 37 years old, and I write videogame reviews.
*pause for the audience to point and laugh*
One funny thing about the video game culture (I think it’s big enough that I don’t have to call it a sub-culture anymore) is that the whole no-lifer geek stereotype image is damnably pervasive. It’s pretty amazing too, because if you actually explore the relationships you form with gaming buds, you find that under the shared interest there’s… an actual living person there, in every case. I think many people, especially those who aren’t longtime gamers, still typify those with a gaming habit as pimply, overweight social maladroits who’ve never mentally evolved past the age of 13. It’s funny. That subset exists, but I’d lay odds it’s no more than a strong minority anymore. Gaming’s just been around too long.
Bear in mind, I’m not saying we aren’t geeks. I’m saying we aren’t just geeks. There’s a distinction. Read the rest of this entry »

Review: Eye Of Judgement
I was never really into the old Playstation Eye. The technology was there but the games being developed for it didn’t really exploit the technology to it’s fullest. I didn’t really see the appeal of looking at myself punch and swing at invisible objects. If they were really going to take advantage of the technology, they needed to do something ground breaking. What was once just a silly name for a console has surprised the world with a newly designed control scheme and simplistic, all-hands approach to gaming. It’s common knowledge that the Wii is selling extremely well, and in some places still hard to find. However, is the Wii really a legitimate contender in the newest, fiercest generation of gaming? Can the two heavy-weight consoles, the Xbox 360 and PS3 really see the Wii as a threat?
NFL 2K5 Comes To The Xbox 360
This is by far the best BC update to hit the 360. Like myself, many NFL 2K5 fans have been yearning for a chance to play this game on their 360. For a moment there I thought it was never going to happen. Yesterday I caught wind of the update and was playing NFL 2K5 in high definition on my Xbox 360.
