Square defecting to Playstation with Final Fantasy 7 was the nail in the coffin of Nintendo and SEGA. That&#039;s testament to the power of third party software.

Hell, third party software put Xbox on the map.

If Microsoft didn&#039;t buy PC/Mac developer Bungie; there would be no Xbox to speak of today.

Third parties are fairly relevant overall.

Instead of spewing the same asinine &quot;buy it all&quot; consumer drone rhetoric, you should be championing the cause of standardization.
