Yes, Monster Hunter 2’s bosses are viciously strong. Expecially Zazami, it do a lot of damage even an inderect contact. But it is a challenging stage that allow you to access to the Poisan Swamp. Boss in there are hell if compare to Zazami. By the way only grass grazzing monster(the harmless beast that stood no chance with the player) will ran when a boss appear. Frenzy or highly aggressive species will not flee as they see you as a threat than the boss itself. Eliminate them before you fight with the boss.

Is your monster Hunter 2 is in English? Mine is in Chinese, is a lot easier to understand in both of these language than Japanese.

    I bought MH2 while I was in Tokyo =D

I do agree that it’d be best to take out those frenzy monsters before fighting the boss, but still. Come on, let’s add a bit more “realism” to the game. Making it less stressful for the player to enjoy a battle with a dragon, rather than a dragon with 4 dos fangos (IIRC) on your butt.
