Review: Tenchu-Z
Still in the dark…
The most important element of playing Tenchu-Z can be summed up in a single word: Patience.
Any fan of the series can tell you what Tenchu’s about; sneaking around, probably killing some people in the process, accomplishing a certain objective (often a specific kill) or set of objectives. The fine details vary, but the basic rules and mechanics of the game never break that mold. The Tenchu series has been around quite a while and has something of a cult following. Its makers know what the players want, and provide it with great specificity. That’s both a good and bad thing. Read the rest of this entry »

The map pack costs 400 Microsoft Points™ and includes THREE new multiplayer levels: “Lost Technology,” a throw-back to the good ol’ days of pixelated 8-bit gaming; “Ruins,” ancient temples set amidst a lush jungle; and “Ice Drop,” a frigid glacier with lots of peaks, nooks and crannies.
Project Sylpheed Demo, from Xbox Live
Well, wow. It’s nice. It’s totally different from anything I’d have expected from the Sylpheed name, but it’s nice.
Unless I’m somehow horribly misremembering, the original Sylpheed was a nicely polished 2D/3D shmup. This is a 3D railless shooter in the vein of Colony Wars. Read the rest of this entry »

Tenchu Z and Shadowrun Demo’s Hit Xbox Live!!
Yep that’s right! Both Tenchu Z and Shadowrun demo’s are available for download on Xbox Live. The Tenchu Z demo is unbelievable. I don’t know why this game isn’t getting the hype it deserves. The game is cinimatically beautiful and brings us back to the old school Tenchu games we’ve grown to love. It’s all in Japanese too! The Shadowrun demo is equally impressive as it includes solo play, bot matches and party matches with your Live friends. Now that’s a complete demo!
