Dear God, you're kidding me. Our first 6-comment post and we're hit by a robospammer. Should I be flattered? Edited, obviously.

lol, sorry man. Maybe we need to advertise this place more? I'm thinking of including the link in our sigs at the Haven and other sites. Perhaps even creating sig images for sites who'll allow it, or even banners for support from other sites.

I don't know whether to be pissed that Dan stole my line, or ecstatic that someone is actually commenting on a topic here. I should post controversial rants more often. :-p

To offer a little more backup on the 360 back-compatible question, back in June Peter Moore got his hand slapped by about a million 360 owners when he dropped that line about no one being "concerned" over BC any more. In the quickly-issued public apology, he referenced the statement that every title would be done, and promised Microsoft would get "darned close" to that goal. The article is here:

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/712/712123p1.html

Read through the supporting links and you'll see reference to the original boast made to GamesIndustry, which was in very clear "100% - you won't have to keep the older console" language.

Thanks.

Now that just a few throw-away multiplatform sports titles are the only new Xbox games coming out, MS just has to play clean-up.

"Our goal is to have every Xbox game work on Xbox 360."

This was said to address previous rumors that the 360 wouldn't be BC. While they did not 'promise', it was pretty much implied.

When did they ever promise 100%? The wording at the E3 05 conference was to make the "top selling Xbox titles" backwards compatable. If there's any instance where they specifiaclly said "100%," please mention it.
