Review: Enchanted Arms

Being one of the first launch titles and an RPG to make it to the XBOX 360, you would think it would show the raw power the 360 can handle. Sorry, but that isn’t really the case for this game. The graphics are sub-par with the standards of what the 360 can show, and the online feature isnt all that great. What is cool is the fact that you get a free manga to go with it, although reading first doesn’t help with the game play or story at all. So, let’s go ahead with the story since we are dealing with an RPG. Read the rest of this entry »

gears_of_war_i-org_3.jpg

On Wednesday 1/10/07, Epic will be releasing 2 new multiplayer maps for Gears Of War. This comes a day after the new GOW patch. Here are the details:

Available on January 10th on Xbox Live® Marketplace, Raven Down places you in the desperate aftermath of a helicopter crash, while Old Bones drops you right in the middle of a Locust attack on Sera’s Museums. Get right down and fight. Or just sit back awhile and drool over the sick level of detail you’ve come to expect from Gears of War. Raven Down and Old Bones are brought to you by Discovery Channel’s Future Weapons.

Gears Of War Gets A Patch

There will be a Gears Of War Patch tomorrow, 1/9/2007, prior to the new map pak being distributed. Here are the details of the patch:

A Gears of War update should start pushing through the system at some point tomorrow, Tuesday January 9, 2007 prior to the two new multiplayer maps being available on Xbox Live Marketplace on Wednesday January 10, 2007. The maps, plus an introductory video featuring Gears designer Cliff Bleszinski, are free thanks to the kind sponsorship by the Discovery Channel’s Future Weapons series which launches next Monday January 15th, 2007. Be sure to check out the show to see some really cool firepower. I expect game designers all across the country will be watching that series very carefully looking for ideas for their future games
